摘要： The present invention provides a cryopreservation device that makes it possible to automatically extract an intended sample, and prevent the temperature of samples other than the intended sample from increasing. A cryopreservation device is provided, including: a cryopreservation vessel that internally accommodates a drawer configured to store vials side by side in a vertical direction in each box and has an opening communicating with a task space provided in an upper surface thereof; a drawer-raising/lowering device that raises and lowers the drawer in the vertical direction via the opening in a state where the drawer is gripped and maintains the drawer at an arbitrary height; a first stage that is provided above the cryopreservation vessel so as to be adjacent to the opening as seen in plan view and allows the box to be placed thereon; and a second pressing device that presses the box to move the box to the first stage.

摘要： The present invention, in some embodiments thereof, relates to a method and scalable devices for hyperfast cooling and re-warming of samples. More specifically, it relates to cryogenic preservation of biological samples via vitrification. It includes: a liquid sample placed at ambient temperature in a flat thermo conductive container that in some embodiments additionally contains a detachable disposable or sterilizable thermo conductive spiral; transferring the sample to a cooling chamber using a linear percussion stepping motor drive; hyperfast cooling of the sample using streams of pressurized liquid coolant; transferring the sample to a detachable shipping/storage chamber filled with liquid coolant, from which the sample can be transferred to another vessel that contains liquid cryogenic coolant and moved back to the shipping/storage chamber. This chamber can be then attached to a re-warming chamber, in which the sample is heated to a biologically tolerant temperature above 0 degrees Celsius in a hyperfast manner.

The method includes placing an organ in a self-purging preservation apparatus to suspend the sample in preservation fluid, and filling the apparatus with a cold preservation solution. The self-purging preservation apparatus is placed in an insulated transport container having a cooling medium. When assembled, the system allows for transport of biological samples for extended periods of time at a stable temperature, thereby increasing the distance that the organ can be transported without compromising organ function.

The blood pressure of the arterial blood flow entering the fetal organ is controlled to be compatible with the blood pressure of the organ from the human fetus. In some embodiments, the blood pressure of the blood flow to the fetal organ is controlled using a blood flow control device that includes an inflatable cuff in pressure contact with a blood vessel of the non-human animal host.

摘要： A storage cassette including a plurality of generally vertical compartments for storing sample tube racks and/or SBS formatted plates is constructed to be flexible along its substantially vertical axis thereby facilitating reliable robotic placement and retrieval of the cassette from nesting tubes located within a horizontal freezer compartment. Insulated walls and solid shelves minimize heat transfer from storage racks or plates placed in the storage cassette when the cassette is removed from an ultra-low temperature or cryogenic freezer. The outer walls of the cassette includes mechanical indexing locations to ensure appropriate positioning when robotically removing storage racks or plates from the cassette.
