    • It is an object of the present invention to provide a fluororesin composition which hardly causes molding defects even when high-speed molding is performed in covering extrusion molding within a relatively broad molding temperature range and which can give covered electric wires, in particular foamed electric wires, excellent in surface smoothness.A fluororesin composition comprising a polytetrafluoroethylene [PTFE] having a standard specific gravity of 2.15 to 2.30 and a tetrafluoroethylene/hexafluoropropylene-based copolymer [FEP], the content of said PTFE being 0.01 to 3 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of said FEP and the alkali metal content being not higher than 5 ppm on the resin composition solid matter basis, wherein said composition is obtained by a method comprising the step (1) of obtaining a cocoagulated fluororesin powder by mixing an aqueous dispersion containing said FEP and an aqueous dispersion containing said PTFE together, followed by coagulation, the step (2) of melt extruding the cocoagulated powder and the step (3) of subjecting the extrusion product to treatment for stabilizing unstable terminal groups in said PTFE and FEP.

    • An ion generating unit is made compact, yet avoids the undesired arc discharge for successfully generating the ions. The ion generating unit includes a dielectric base having a length and carrying a needle electrode and a ground electrode. The needle electrode has a pointed tip and is adapted to receive a high electric voltage relative to the ground electrode for electrically charging particles present in the surrounding air. The dielectric base being a polyhedron having multiple faces including a first face and a second face which are different from each other and have the length of the dielectric base. The needle electrode is mounted on or in a closely adjacent relation to the first face, and has its pointed tip directing forwardly along the length of the dielectric base with the pointed tip receded from the front end of the base. The ground electrode is mounted at the front end of the base in longitudinally spaced relation with the pointed tip. The ground electrode include anchor ends only by which the ground electrode is secured to the base. The anchor ends are fixed to the second face of the base, but not to the first face. Thus, the creepage distance between the electrodes extends over the first face and also the second face of the dielectric base, thereby being given an elongated distance relative to the air path between the electrodes for successfully generating the ions.

    • A facial aesthetic treatment apparatus includes a housing provided with a nozzle and a suction pump for developing a suction force. An attachment is mounted to the nozzle for applying the suction force to a facial skin for removal of sebum, dirt or the like debris from the facial skin. The apparatus is capable of regulating the suction force being applied to the skin, and particularly minimizing the suction force immediately in response to the user's action of ceasing the treatment, thereby making it easy to remove the attachment from the facial skin and therefore reducing a risk of causing a pain and leaving the purpuric mark as well. A regulator is incorporated to regulate the suction force being applied to the facial skin for easy and safe removal of the suction force.

    • The present invention provides a water-based ink composition in which the wettability, surface tension, antibacterial properties, and other properties are controlled based on a simple formulation. The water-based ink composition of the present invention contains a semi-polar boron compound. Semi-polar boron compounds represented by diglycerin borate exhibit superior wettability in an ordinary environment, and addition of such a compound achieves a water-based ink composition well-balanced in surface tension, wettability, and drying property even if the composition is prepared according to a simple formulation. The optimum quantitative range for addition of the semi-polar boron compound depends on whether the coloring material contained in the watercolor ink composition is a dyestuff or a pigment. When the coloring material is a dyestuff, the quantitative range is preferably 0.5 to 3.0% by weight relative to the entire quantity of the water-based ink composition. When the coloring material is a pigment, the quantitative range is preferably 0.05 to 10% by weight relative to the same.
