    • In a Plasma Display Panel (PDP) apparatus, system and method including a circuit framework structure, a chassis structure coupled to the circuit framework structure, at least one thermal pad structure coupled to the chassis structure, a panel structure coupled to the at least one thermal pad structure and including a display portion and a non-display portion, an integrated circuit disposed behind said non-display portion of said panel structure, and at least one attachment fastener structure, which couples the structures, deleterious heat that is generated during operation of associated ICs can be efficiently dissipated. Thermal equilibration of the PDP may also be obtained, thus increasing the operational life of the PDP.

    • An alignment mark for a plasma display panel (PDP). The alignment mark comprises a first and a second alignment patterns installed on a front and a rear substrate respectively. The second alignment pattern on the non-display area is simultaneously formed with the rib barrier formation on the display area of the rear substrate, wherein the second alignment pattern is hexagonal-honeycomb. The first alignment pattern on the front substrate is simultaneously formed with the non-transparent material fabrication, such as a bus electrode or black matrix fabrication, and corresponds to a space within the second alignment pattern. The first alignment pattern comprises at least one line segment, parallel to at least one side of the hexagonal honeycomb pattern on the rear substrate with a predetermined distance therebetween.

    • A flat panel display includes a front substrate, a rear substrate parallel to and spaced apart from the front substrate for forming a gap between the front and rear substrates. A display area is positioned on the surface of the rear substrate facing the front substrate. The flat panel display further includes a plurality of barrier ribs positioned on the display area of the rear substrate, a first channel rib positioned on at least two sides of the display area of the rear substrate, and a second channel rib spaced from the first channel rib by a predetermined distance. The first channel rib and the second channel rib form a sealing channel. A sealing frit fills the sealing channel to seal together the front substrate and the rear substrate.

    • A protective device for a tube bonded on a plasma display panel (PDP). The PDP includes a plate which does not break when experiencing a first force, an air holo for passing air above and below the plate and in air communications with the tube, and doughnut-shaped base disposed around the air hole and the tube. The protective device includes a hollow shield with a first opening on a bottom end bonded to the doughnut-shaped base for containing the tube, and a binding compound for binding the hollow shield to the doughnut-shaped base. The hollow shield remains bonded to the doughnut-shaped base when experiencing a second force which is smaller than the first force. When the hollow shield experiences an external force greater than the second force, the hollow shield will separate from the doughnut shaped base without breaking the plate.

The PDP includes a first substrate having a first edge, a second substrate spaced apart from the first substrate, a first electrode positioned on the first substrate along a first direction, a second electrode positioned on the second substrate along a second direction, a bonding electrode, and a conductive device.
