    • A method of controlling the fuel supply to an internal combustion engine in response to operating conditions thereof. First and second groups of basic fuel quantity values are set beforehand as a function of a first engine operation parameter including at least the engine rotational speed, the basic fuel quantity values of the second group being each larger than a corresponding one of those of the first group for the same first engine operation parameter value. When it is determined from a detected second engine operation parameter value indicative of engine load that the engine is operating in a predetermined high load condition, one basic fuel quantity value of the second group is selected that corresponds to a detected first engine operation parameter value, and corrected by a fuel increment based upon a detected engine temperature value and the detected second engine operation parameter value. A fuel quantity is set on the basis of the corrected one basic fuel quantity and supplied to the engine. When the engine is determined to be operating in a condition other than the predetermined high load condition, one basic fuel quantity value of the first group is selected that corresponds to the detected first engine operation parameter value, to set, on the basis thereof, a fuel quantity for supply to the engine.

    • A method of effecting feedback control of the air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture being supplied to an internal combustion engine, by correcting a basic fuel supply quantity by the use of a coefficient variable in value in response to the output of an exhaust gas ingredient concentration detecting means, while the engine is operating in a predetermined air-fuel ratio feedback control effecting region. The predetermined air-fuel ratio feedback control effecting region is previously divided into at least first and second subdivided regions. A first mean value of the coefficient is calculated and stored when the engine is operating in the first subdivided region, and a second mean value of same when the engine is operating in the second subdivided region, respectively. The first mean value is used as an initial value of the coefficient, when the engine operation has entered the first subdivided region, and the second mean value when it has entered the second subdivided region, respectively.

    • An idling speed feedback control method for an internal combustion engine for controlling the operating amount of a control valve for regulating the quantity of intake air being supplied to the engine in response to the difference between a desired idling speed and an actual engine speed, while the engine is in a predetermined idling region. A correction value for the operating amount of the control valve is determined in dependence upon the valve of a signal indicative of generating conditions of a generator driven by the engine for supplying electric power to at least one electrical device, and the operating amount of the control valve is corrected by means of the thus determined correction value. When the engine has entered the predetermined idling region immediately following deceleration, an initial value of the operating amount of the control valve which is applied at the start of the feedback control is set to a sum of a value obtained by correcting the correction value by means of a predetermined increment, and a predetermined reference value. While the engine is decelerating toward the predetermined idling region, the operating amount of the control valve is set to a value equal to the initial value.
