摘要： A magnetic disk apparatus has a base member and a cover mounted on the base member to form an enclosure having at least six magnetic disks rotatably supported therein. First and second transducers are included for writing information on and reading information from upper and lower surfaces of adjacent ones of the magnetic disks. The transducers are supported by leaf springs in close proximity to both surfaces of adjacent ones of the magnetic disks. The leaf springs extend in a radial direction with respect to the magnetic disks and are supported on one end by a plurality of head arms. The leaf springs are arranged substantially within the same plane parallel to the magnetic disks so they do not overlie one another. A voice coil motor is provided for moving the head arms in order to position the transducer pairs in predetermined positions. A circuit board is included for controlling the magnetic disk apparatus.

摘要： In a closed housing of a magnetic disk memory device are accommodated a spindle motor for rotatably holding a magnetic disk medium for storage of information, a magnetic head for recording and reproducing information into and from the magnetic disk medium, a head positioning mechanism for moving the magnetic head to any position on the magnetic disk medium, and so forth. A printed board having thereon control circuit parts for controlling the spindle motor and the head positioning mechanism and recording/reproducing circuit parts for effecting the recording/reproduction by the magnetic head is arranged outside of the housing. An opening corresponding to a component of the magnetic disk memory device is formed in a certain region of the housing opposing the printed board. A shielding member for preventing a dust from entering into the housing is provided for the opening. The shielding member has a sheet-like or cup-like form and the device is constructed corresponding to the unevenness or uneven arrangement of components, thereby making it possible to reduce the thickness of the device. The commonization of the shielding member for disk devices is possible and a distance between a printed board and the housing can be reduced for the whole of the device.

摘要： A magnetic disk unit has a magnetic head-disk stickiness eliminating mechanism suitable for a small-sized, low power consumption type magnetic disk unit of a high recording density. The magnetic disk unit has a housing in which is enclosed a magnetic disk medium made of glass, a spindle and a spindle motor for driving the magnetic medium in rotation, a slider for supporting a magnetic head and an actuator for positioning the magnetic head. An impact force applying mechanism mounted adjacent the housing applies an impact force to the housing for manually imposing a predetermined certain impact force on the housing. By applying an impact force manually to the housing before use of the magnetic disk unit or when the disk unit becomes inoperative due to sticking, it is possible to easily eliminate the sticking phenomenon between the magnetic head and the magnetic disk medium, thus permitting operation of the magnetic disk unit.
