    • A seatbelt apparatus is provided which can constrain a passenger by ensuring removal of a slack of a lap belt when two pretensioners are activated under two different time frames. A pretensioner of a seatbelt retractor is activated first, and a shoulder belt and a lap belt are pulled in a direction toward the seatbelt retractor. Subsequently, a pretensioner of a belt anchor portion is activated and pulls a seatbelt toward the belt anchor portion, and hence a one-way tongue catches and locks the seatbelt. Accordingly, the shoulder belt is prevented from moving toward the lap belt through the tongue. Therefore, removal of the slack of the lap belt is ensured, and hence a lumber of the passenger is firmly fixed.

    • There is provided an airbelt system in which an inflator and an anchor are mounted to the seat base without using a flexible pipe and with a relatively simple structure. An anchor for connecting the webbing of the airbelt is rotatably supported on the outer surface of a side plate of a base frame of the seat with a plurality of arcshaped long holes and step bolts passed through the long holes. An inflator is disposed inside the side plate. The gas port of the inflator is substantially coaxial with the rotation axis center of the anchor.

    • An airbelt and an airbelt apparatus is prevented from undergoing re-elongation due to a tensile force applied to the airbelt, which is reduced in length in the longitudinal direction after expansion. An airbelt includes a first standard belt, a second standard belt, and an expandable portion therebetween. A re-elongation preventing member may include end members arranged respectively on both end sides of the expandable portion, and a joint member for joining the end members. When an inflator is activated, the expandable portion is expanded, and the length of the expandable portion is reduced, and hence the expandable portion is accommodated between the end members of the re-elongation preventing member as a whole. The expanded expandable portion is too thick to pass through belt insertion ports. Even when a significant tensile force is applied via the standard belt, the expandable portion is not elongated.

    • An inflator attaching structure is capable of firmly attaching an inflator to a seat member or the like. An inflator attaching structure includes an attaching clamp that is composed of a main plate connected to a seat frame, and a sub-plate attached to the main plate, and an inflator is sandwiched between the main plate and the sub-plate.     • In an air belt device which has the gas-supply portion, such as an inflator, fixed therein, a connection between an air belt and a gas supply portion is simplified. A lap anchor 13 coupled to an end of a lap bag 15 is pivotally supported by a support shaft 13p such that the lap anchor 13 can turn back and forth with respect to a seat frame 2. The inflator 12 is fixed to be disposed on a side face of the seat frame 2. A substantially tubular gas-introducing path extends from the lap bag 15. The gas-introducing path 16 is connected to a pipe 17 extending from the inflator 12 in a slack state.
