摘要： An apparatus and method for manipulating scanned documents using computer aided design (CAD) commands includes a link program which receives the CAD commands and displays all or selected portions of a raster-based image, which is created by scanning a hard copy document. The link program will display the portion of the raster image which fits within a predetermined CAD window and will scale the raster image up or down as necessary to fit within the display window. The raster image is displayed on a computer screen and provides a useful reference for an operator to create a CAD image which is a duplicate of the raster image by tracing directly over the raster image or, alternatively, to implement desired changes in the raster image using CAD commands. An edit program merges the CAD image and the original raster image to create a new, updated raster image, which includes all CAD-generated changes made by the operator. The updated raster image can be reproduced in hard copy form by a raster plotter.

An armrest can include a docking station for a mobile device and an integration component can be configured to communicatively couple the mobile device with an input component, multimedia component, display component, fob component, warning component, etc. This integration enables an occupant of a vehicle to seamlessly interact with the mobile device through features of the vehicle, rather than through a mobile device interface. In one or more embodiments, mobile device data or mobile device applications are used to supplement integration, such as through voice commands, etc. For example, a warning can be provided if it is determined that the vehicle is speeding. As another example, personalized multimedia settings can be stored and programmed to the vehicle when the mobile device is docked.

摘要： A gas-powered resuscitator is operable either in a manual mode or an automatic mode. The resuscitator includes an oscillatory timing valve (14) having an outlet (23) connected to a bi-stable valve (25), the operation of which is piloted by a manual valve (16). The outlet (26) of the bi-stable valve (25) connects to the outlet (2) of the resuscitator via a rotatable control (32) and a patient valve (41). The outlet (26) of the bi-stable valve (25) also connects to the control inlet (34) of the timing valve (14). The manual valve (16) has a button (62) that can be pushed down manually in the manual mode or can be held down in the automatic mode by rotating a locking ring (262). The maximum duration of cycles is limited by operation of the timing valve (14), whether the resuscitator is operated manually or automatically.

摘要： An elevator safety brake for stopping an elevator car is provided with a brake shoe having a molybdenum alloy friction surface for contacting an elevator guide rail surface to provide a stopping force. The molybdenum alloy contains 99.4 weight percent molybdenum, 0.5 weight percent titanium and 0.1 weight percent zirconium. The friction surface of the brake formed from the alloy exhibits a consistent high friction and low wear suitably accommodating high speed, high load elevators installed in very tall buildings.
