摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide an electrolyte membrane that suppresses swelling and shrinkage caused by water retained in the electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer-type fuel cell, improves the durability of the electrolyte membrane, and obtains excellent power generation characteristics with a low resistance. The electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer-type fuel cell includes, as a reinforcing membrane, a nonwoven fabric composed of an electrolyte material and PVDF bicomponent fibers 2a, thereby improving the durability of the electrolyte membrane. Furthermore, the bicomponent fiber 2a has pores 23 that can effectively retain generated water, thereby improving battery performance under the condition of a low humidity.

摘要： A V-ribbed belt that includes a ribbed surface covered with fabric is provided. The fabric is stretchable in two predetermined directions. A method for manufacturing the V-ribbed belt is also provided. The method includes placing a belt matrix about a mandrel, placing a fabric about the external circumference of the belt matrix which wraps around the mandrel, placing the mandrel inside a shell having a plurality of grooves on the internal circumference, expanding the belt matrix and the fabric toward the internal circumference of the shell and thus pressing the fabric onto the internal circumference having the multi-ribbed structure, and curing the belt matrix with the fabric. The fabric is stretchable to accommodate itself to the multi-ribbed structure.

The method for recording information in an optical recording medium according to the present invention forms record marks in a recording layer containing a phase change material by modulating the power of a laser beam between a plurality of power levels including a recording power Pw, an erasing power Pe and ground power Pb. The erasing power Pe is set to a level within a region where a reflection coefficient of a region between neighboring record marks approaches a reflection coefficient of the record mark as the erasing power Pe increases. As a result, a good overwriting characteristic can be obtained when data are recorded at a high linear velocity.

摘要： A resin for use in manufacturing wet friction materials which contributes to enhancing durability of manufactured wet friction materials, a manufacturing method thereof, and a wet friction material having excellent durability are provided. The resin for use in manufacturing wet friction materials can be obtained by reacting phenols with aldehydes in the presence of at least one basic catalyst, which contains a water-soluble phenolic resin as a main component. Further, the manufacturing method of the resin for wet friction materials includes a step of reacting phenols with aldehydes in the presence of at least one basic catalyst to obtain a water-soluble phenolic resin having a predetermined water percentage. Furthermore, the wet friction material is manufactured by impregnating a base material with the resin for wet friction materials.
