Also, memory is operatively connected to the bus, and a control unit exercises control over information exchange between respective recognition units and the memory under the control of the processor.

The display device includes a display section with plural pixels; signal lines; a data generation circuit; a D/A converter for sequentially converting a tone data to an analog voltage and outputting the analog voltage to the signal lines; a switch circuit for outputting a signal corresponding to the pixel state by switching the signal lines; an A/D converter for sequentially detecting the signal; and a detection circuit for estimating the state of the pixel from the signal. The D/A converter includes an output range setting means for setting an allowed output range of the analog voltage. The display device includes an output correction circuit that controls the output range setting means in accordance with the state of the pixel detected by the detection circuit.

摘要： An organic electroluminescence display device is provided having a display section including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix; and a detection section for detecting a luminance characteristic of an OLED element in each of the pixels. The detection section includes a first path for allowing a detected characteristic value to pass therethrough and a second path for attenuating the detected characteristic value. A first switch is provided for the first path whereas a second switch is provided for the second path, the second switch being opened when the first switch is closed. The detected characteristic value having passed through any one of the first path and the second path is input to a same analog-to-digital converter to be converted into a digital quantity.

摘要： In a display mode, a signal driving circuit (DAC) transmits image signals to the pixels selected by a scanning circuit for display and first switches of switch units. Then, a power supply circuit supplies a current corresponding to the transmitted signal to the pixels. Then, organic EL elements provided in the pixels are driven to emit light, thereby displaying an image. In order to correct the deterioration of the organic EL elements, first, a constant current flows from a current source to the organic EL elements of the pixels selected by a scanning circuit for detection and second switches and a voltage corresponding to the constant current applied to the organic EL element is detected. The detected voltage is input to an AD converter through a buffer amplifier, and the AD converter converts the voltage into a digital value, and transmits the digital value to a signal correction control unit. When the organic EL element deteriorates, the detected digital value varies. Therefore, the signal correction control unit corrects the signal from the signal driving circuit, thereby correcting the deterioration of the organic EL element.

摘要： During a first period of a set period, a reset switch element of each pixel is turned on to converge a voltage at a control electrode of a TFT to a predetermined voltage, and a step signal having a first voltage level is supplied from a step signal generation circuit. During a second period of the set period, the reset switch element is turned off, and a step signal having a second voltage level is supplied from the step signal generation circuit, whereby a voltage exceeding a second power supply voltage or a voltage exceeding a voltage range supplied from a signal driver section is input as a characteristic value set voltage to the control electrode. Accordingly, even when a relationship between a gate voltage and a drain current of the thin film transistor exhibits a hysteresis characteristic, uniform display can be achieved.
