摘要： Novel silane compound, alkoxy cyclopentyl dimethoxysilane, is prepared by reacting cyclopentyl trihalosilane with ROH and then with methanol, or by reacting cyclopentyl trimethoxysilane with ROH, wherein alkyl in the alkoxy or R in ROH stands for an organic group selected from the group consisting of sec-butyl, tert-amyl, cyclopentyl, oxa-3-cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl and 2-isopropyl-5-methyl cyclohexyl groups. The silane compounds are useful as a catalytic component for olefin polymerization and as a silane coupling agent.

摘要： A catalyst for the polymerization of olefines comprises a solid catalytic component obtained by pre-polymerizing propylene in the presence of (A) a solid component containing magnesium, titanium, halogen and an electron-donating compound, (B) an organoaluminum compound, and (C) an alkylalkoxysilane represented by the formula, R.sup.1 Si(OR.sup.2)(OCH.sub.3).sub.2, wherein R.sup.1 represents a branched or cyclic alkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 represents a branched alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms; (B) an organoaluminum compound; and (D) an alkyltrialkoxysilane represented by the formula, R.sup.3 Si(OR.sup.4).sub.2 (OCH.sub.3), wherein R.sup.3 represents a linear alkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, and R.sup.4 represents a branched alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl group having 3 to 5 carbon atoms.

It can have exceedingly improved emulsion stability because the modified polypropylene used has extremely high solubility in solvents and is easily emulsifiable. The modified-polypropylene emulsion composition comprises water and a modified polypropylene dispersed and emulsified therein, and is characterized in that the modified polypropylene has a racemic diad content [r] of 0.12 to 0.88 and has hydrophilic functional groups in a number of 0.5 or larger on the average per molecular chain of the polypropylene.

摘要： A method for producing a modified polyolefin solution, which can reduce polymer loss, solvent loss and further number of steps, and thus has excellent productivity and economic efficiency in a series of steps, wherein an α-olefin is polymerized to obtain a polyolefin, followed by modification with a modifying agent to produce a modified polyolefin solution, characterized by comprising a step wherein an α-olefin is polymerized in the presence of polymerization catalyst in liquid phase to obtain a polyolefin as a polymer solution or slurry state and a step wherein thus obtained polymer is reacted with a modifying agent to modify a polyolefin, and in that the polymer is not isolated, not recovered, nor substantially dried, in a method for producing a modified polyolefin solution by modification, using a modification agent, of a polyolefin obtained by polymerization of an α-olefin.
