    • Disclosed is a drug-releaser comprising a porous body of biocompatibility filled with a medicine. Specifically, such porous body is made of baked calcium phosphate, 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate, chitin, chitosan or their delivatives. Implantation or artery-injection of such drug-releaser causes a discernible curing effect on affected parts of the living body without causing any irritativeness.     • A separating agent which includes a polyvinyl acetal resin having open cell structure and an average pore size of from about 10 to about 1000 micrometers; and, porous calcium phosphate granules having open cell structure, and also having two distributions of pore size wherein one distribution has micropores ranging from about 20 to about 500 nm in average pore size and the other distribution has small pores ranging from about 1 to about 50 micrometers in average pore size.     • A filtering material employable for a variety of application fields in the form of a sanitary mask, a deodoring filter or the like comprises calcium phosphate particles, .beta.-1,3-glucan and a band-shaped raw material, and the calcium phosphate particles each serving as a filtering medium are caused to adhere to the sheet-shaped raw material with the aid of the .beta.-1,3-glucan serving as a binder. A method of producing a filtering material is practiced by way of a first step of stirring a predetermined quantity of calcium phosphate particles and a predetermined .beta.-1,3-glucan in hot water at a high speed to prepare an aqueous treatment solution, a second step of dipping a sheet-shaped raw material in the aqueous treatment solution and taking up the sheet-shaped raw material, and a third step of drying the sheet-shaped raw material after completion of the taking-up operation. A second step of spraying the aqueous treatment solution over the sheet-shaped raw material may be substituted for the aforementioned second step. In addition, a step of allowing the aqueous treatment solution to adhere to the sheet-shaped raw material with the aid of a rolling roller may be substituted for the aforementioned second step. An aqueous preliminary treatment solution having a predetermined quantity of .beta.-1,3-glucan uniformly dispersed in hot water may be substituted for the aforementioned aqueous treatment solution. In this case, calcium phosphate particles are caused to adhere to the sheet-shaped raw material before the aqueous preliminary treatment solution is completely dried.

    • To produce a filtering material for adsorptively capturing very fine particles such as fungus, pollen, virus, bacteria or the like at a high efficiency, an aqueous treatment solution is first prepared by dissolving porous apatite particles of 0.5 to 40% by weight, preferably, 0.5 to 30% by weight and a water soluble glucan of 0.5 to 15% by weight in water. A sheet-shaped raw material is then coated with the treatment solution with the aid of a rotating drum of which part is always dipped in the treatment solution, and thereafter, the sheet-shaped raw material having the treatment solution coated thereon is dried. Alternatively, an aqueous treatment solution prepared by dissolving only a water soluble glucan of 0.5 to 25% by weight in water may be substituted for the aforementioned aqueous treatment solution. In this case, after a sheet-shaped raw material is coated with the treatment solution, porous apatite particles are deposited on the sheet-shaped raw material by employing a dispersing process or a spraying process before the treatment solution coated on the sheet-shaped raw material is kept still wet. Subsequently, the sheet-shaped raw material having the treatment solution coated thereon and the porous apatite particles deposited thereon is dried.

    • A filtering material for effectively adsorbing not only conventional foreign material such as dust, odoring gaseous substance but also very fine foreign material such as virus, bacteria, fungus, pollen or the like is disclosed. The filtering material includes as essential components porous apatite particles, a water soluble glucan and a sheet-shaped raw material in which the porous apatite particles are included with the aid of the water soluble glucan serving as a binder. A method of producing a filtering material of the foregoing kind is practiced by way of a step of preparing an aqueous treatment solution in which porous apatite particles of 0.5 to 40% by weight and a water soluble glucan of 0.5 to 15% by weight are dispersively dissolved, a step of immersing a sheet-shaped raw material in the aqueous treatment solution, and a step of drying the sheet-shaped raw material while the porous apatite particles are included in the sheet-shaped raw material with the aid of the water soluble glucan serving as a binder. Alternatively, a step of spraying the aqueous treatment solution to surfaces of a sheet-shaped raw material may be substituted for the step of immersing a sheet-shaped raw material in the aqueous treatment solution. It is preferable from the viewpoint of practice use that the porous apatite particles make up between 0.5 and 30% of the treatment solution.
