    • A heat-curable and solvent-soluble ester group-containing polymer composition is prepared by the steps of:(1) either (i) reacting a highly polymerized linear aromatic polyester with a diaryl carbonate to depolymerize it to a solvent-soluble low-molecular-weight polyester (component A) containing terminal aryl carboxylate groups, or (ii) effecting the above depolymerization in the presence of a compound containing at least two specified functional groups thereby to form a modified solvent-soluble low-molecular-weight polyester (component A') containing terminal aryl carboxylate groups; and(2) either (i) mixing the resulting component A or A' with a monomeric or solvent-soluble polymeric, polyfunctional compound (component B) containing at least two hydroxyl and/or primary or secondary amino groups or (ii) partially reacting the resulting component A or A' with the component B. The composition has superior workability in molding and curing, and gives cured molded products of high utilitarian value. It is especially suitable for use in wire enamelling varnishes.

    • [Problem] To provide a heat-shrinkable laminate film, a molded product and a container, having excellent fracture resistance, rigidity, transparency after addition for regeneration, and in particular excellent shrink finishing quality. [Means for solving] A heat-shrinkable laminate film is drawn in at least one axial direction including at least three layers having an intermediate layer and front and back layers on respective sides of the intermediate layer. The intermediate layer is constituted by a layer composed mainly of at least one polystyrene-based resin. The front and back layers are constituted by layers composed mainly of at least one polyester-based resin. The front and back layers have a thickness ratio of 75% or less based on the total thickness of the film. The polystyrene-based resin is preferably a block copolymer. Further, preferably the heat-shrinkable laminate film has a birefringence index (Δn) of 1.0×10−3 or more and 80.0×10−3 or less. A molded product and a container is obtained by using the heat-shrinkable laminate film.

    • A process for the production of an integral composite molded item including(i) a surface portion having a synthetic resin phase containing a fibrous reinforcing material,(ii) a core portion having the synthetic resin phase containing bubble-containing particles, and(iii) a separation layer positioned between the surface portion and the core portion, the process including the steps of:providing in a substantially sealed mold (1) a separation layer which does not substantially pass therethrough bubble-containing particles but which is capable of passing a synthetic resin or its precursor that is liquidized at the time of molding; (2) a synthetic resin or its precursor on either or both sides of the separation layer; (3) a fibrous reinforcing material between the separation layer and the mold, and (4) an aggregate of bubble-containing particles on the side of the separation layer opposite to the mold;causing volume expansion of the aggregate;causing the resin to flow through the separation layer to thoroughly disperse it between the separation layer, mold, and particles to fill any voids therebetween; andcompleting solidification of the resin to form the composite molded item.The type of the resin and the type of bubble-containing particles may be selected and combined differently.
