    • In an IC card, an operating system manages the access order of each channel for each file using a channel management table. An application controls access to each file based on the access order managed in the channel management table. The channel management table stores, as an access order, an order that each logical channel has set a file in a current state. If current setting by a specific logical channel is canceled, a table updating function deletes the logical channel from the channel management table and moves up the access order of each logical channel next to the deleted logical channel.

    • An apparatus for photochemically decomposing a photoresist is disclosed wherein processing time can be minimized by inducing a uniform photochemical oxidative decomposing reaction over the whole surface of a base board, and an ozone gas atmosphere can be utilized efficiently. The apparatus includes a rotatable circular table supporting one or more base boards and an ashing platform arranged around the periphery of the table including an ozone feeding slit and an ozone discharge slit. The apparatus also includes a plurality of ultraviolet ray lamps arranged inside a box-shaped vessel located above the ashing platform. An upper cover plate is pivotally mounted on the ashing platform and includes a transparent window plate through which the ultraviolet rays pass to irradiate the base boards. An airtight flat space is formed between the ashing platform and the upper cover to contain the ozone atmosphere.

    • A CCD image pickup device 21 has all-pixel read mode and a double speed read mode. The number of lines in the vertical direction is 1/2 of that of the all-pixel read mode. In the double speed read mode, the number of pixels in the horizontal direction is halved by a VRAM write controller 33. A VRAM 34 stores a picture of which pixels have been 1/4 thinned out. The stored picture is output to a monitor 4. The monitor 4 displays a live picture on real time basis. In the all-pixel read mode, a picture is stored in a frame memory 40. The memory picture is 1/4 thinned out. The resultant picture is output as a preview picture to the monitor 4 through the VRAM 34. Background picture data is stored in a background picture memory 44 through a SPC 42. The mix circuit 45 composites the background picture received from the background picture memory 44 and the picture received from the VRAM 34 and outputs the composite picture to the monitor 4.

    • A thermal printing system having a plurality of thermal elements aligned on a straight line in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of a thermal paper for printing characters on a dot matrix principle has been found. Each thermal element is selectively energized by a power pulse according to the desired pattern to be printed, and the pulse width of said power pulse which is applied to a thermal element is controlled according to the moving speed of a thermal paper and/or the status (black/white) of the previously printed several dots so that the desired concentration or color density is obtained. A digital memory which stores the status of the previously printed dots or the duration between the time that the last black dot is printed and the present time is provided, and according to that digital memory, the trigger pulse for initiating the power pulse for each thermal element is defined. Thus, a thermal paper is always heated to a proper temperature to provide the desired printed concentration in spite of the change of the moving speed of a thermal paper and/or the status of the previously printed dots. Then, the high speed printing and/or the variable speed printing is obtained.
