摘要： An actuated valve assembly includes a valve body (110) having a valve seat (112) disposed between inlet (111) and outlet (113) passages, and a fixed orifice (115) restriction provided in at least one of the inlet and outlet passages, a valve element (120) assembled with the valve body and axially movable between a closed position and an open position, and an actuator (130) assembled with the valve body and connected with the valve element for axial movement of the valve element between the closed and open positions. A ratio of the maximum seat annulus flow coefficient associated with the valve seat and valve element to an orifice flow coefficient associated with the fixed orifice restriction is between about 2:1 and about 8:1.

摘要： In an actuated valve assembly, the valve includes a valve body defining a fluid passageway, an annular valve seat disposed on the valve body surrounding the fluid passageway, and a valve closing member movable between a closed position sealing against the valve seat and a fully open position spaced apart from the valve seat to permit flow. The actuator includes an actuator housing and an actuating mechanism movable within the actuator housing, by operation of the actuator, between a closing position in which the actuating mechanism holds the valve closing member in the closed position, and an opening position in which the actuating mechanism permits movement of the valve closing member toward the fully open position, the opening position being defined by engagement of the actuating mechanism with a stop portion of the actuator. The actuator is threadably adjustable on the valve to adjust a position of the actuator stop portion with respect to the valve seat, such that the opening position of the actuating mechanism may be selected to limit the valve closing member to a partial flow position between the fully open position and the closed position.

An embodiment of a seal element is presented in which the seal element includes a first portion, a second portion, and a transition portion that joins the first portion and the second portion. The transition portion isolates the second portion from stresses applied to the first portion.

摘要： An actuator includes a housing defining an inlet port, a piston and a return spring disposed within the housing, and an elastically deformable element. The return spring is configured to apply a biasing force to the piston to move the piston to a spring return position. A first fluid pressure applied to the inlet port moves the piston against the biasing force of the return spring to a first actuated position in which the piston indirectly engages a stop portion of the actuator housing. A second fluid pressure, greater than the first fluid pressure, applied to the inlet port moves the piston against the elastically deformable element to compress the elastically deformable element to move the piston to a second actuated position beyond the first actuated position.
