    • A thermosetting resin which is a linear copolymer having a molecular weight of 10,000 to 1,000,000 and a glass transition point of -30.degree. to +80.degree. C., obtained by polymerizing in an aqueous medium a monomer mixture comprising (1) 0.1 to 50% by weight of at least one polymerizable monomer having an ampho-ionic structure, selected from the group consisting of (i) compounds representable by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each, the same or different, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, A is O or NH, m.sub.1 and n.sub.1 are each, the same or different, an integer of 1 to 12 and X.sup..crclbar. is SO.sub.3.sup..crclbar., SO.sub.4.sup..crclbar. or CO.sub.2.sup..crclbar. and (ii) compounds representable by either one of the formulae: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.4 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sub.5 is a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl group, m.sub.2 is an integer of 0 to 6 and n.sub.2 is an integer of 1 to 6, and A and X.sup.- are as defined above, (2) 0.5 to 70% by weight of at least one polymerizable monomer containing a reactive amide group, representable by the formula: ##STR3## wherein R.sub.6 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R.sub.7 is a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group and (3) 1 to 99.4% by weight of at least one of other polymerizable monomers.

    • Provided is a timing control device including: a storage unit that stores multiple pieces of timing control information including identification information and expected value data; a first selector that selectively outputs any of the multiple pieces of timing control information; a second selector that selectively outputs any of data items output from data output devices based on the identification information; a reference data generation unit that generates reference data based on expected value data and a data item output from the second selector in synchronization with a switching of the timing control information; a comparator that compares the reference data with the data item output from the second selector and outputs a coincidence signal when the reference data and the data item coincide with each other; and an output control unit that outputs a timing signal according to the coincidence signal.

    • A rechargeable electric apparatus includes a switching device (12), a first shunt resistor (13-1) that connects the switching device (12) and a positive electrode of a secondary battery (11), a second shunt resistor (13-2) that connects a load (14) and the positive electrode of the secondary battery (11), and a control unit (15). The control unit (15) controls turning on and off of the switching device (12) on the basis of voltages at two ends of the first shunt resistor (13-1) and voltages at two ends of the second shunt resistor (13-2) in order to control a supply current flowing to the secondary battery (11) via the first shunt resistor (13-1) and to control a load current flowing to the load (14) via the second shunt resistor (13-2).
