    • An automated asset based lending (ABL) system that integrates supplier receivables data, allowing financial institutions optimally to value and price lending against those receivables, thus enabling financial institutions to offer suppliers a maximum borrowing base with minimum risk and highest return to the financial institution, further enabling the financial institution to conduct business in multiple currencies, time zones and countries using a computer based ABL process. In an asset based lending system having a client and at least one financial institution, a method for valuing and pricing client's receivables, the method comprising, downloading accounts receivable information from the client, the accounts receivable information having a specified currency, calculating a borrowing base for the client via utilizing debtor risk ratings, pricing profiles, valuation profiles and pricing tiers, and applying fees and interest as specified in the pricing profile associated with the valuation profile.

    • In an automated asset based lending (ABL) system, a method of enabling the client and the financial institution to automate reconciliation of deposit data against a borrowing base, the method comprising receiving cash application data from the client, receiving deposit data from the client and matching the deposit data to a client ledger, the deposit data including a deposit amount, identifying the client and identifying a client bank account, the client ledger including draws, cash applications and invoices, denoting the deposit amount as unapplied cash, determining a minimum immediate refund amount, the refund amount corresponding to non-funded cash, matching the deposit amount to cash applications and creating cash applications against the invoices, the cash application corresponding to the deposit amount, and applying a balance remaining from the deposit amount to at least one draw and/or recovery account, wherein the balance is applied to the oldest draw and/or recovery account available.

    • The invention allows cool rooms or sea containers designed for frozen goods to handle produce requiring more precisely controlled temperatures and conditions, e.g., vegetables and fruits requiring temperatures in the chilling range and often also needing control or modification of the atmosphere. Each load of produce (100) (e.g. of pallet size) is held in the sea container or cool room but is sealed from the air of the refrigerated environment by, for example, a plastics bag (56). The atmosphere within the bag is then circulated by a fan (12) (or by convection currents from a heating element) so as to pass through the load and around it via ducts (30) provided adjacent the bag (56). Heat exchange (50) between the circulating gas and the refrigerated environment, via the plastics film, serves to cool the load. However, if cooling is excessive a heating element can be used to raise the temperature of the circulating atmosphere. Gas composition of the atmosphere can be controlled by scrubbing, flushing, etc. via pipes from a central unit or at each load individually or by choosing semi-permeable plastic for the sealing bags.

    • A clutch includes two rotary shafts, one of which (2) is connected to one or more first clutch plates (8) which cooperate with a second set of clutch plates (10), the clutch plates being acted on by an actuating piston (12) having a portion exposed on two opposite sides to first and second chambers (16, 18) in a hydraulic cylinder. The elongate recesses (64, 56, 54) extend in the longitudinal direction and in the same circumferential direction in the cylindrical surface in which they are formed and are positioned such that longitudinal movement of the inner valve member (48) within the outer valve member (46) will vary the degree of communication between the first and second elongate recesses. The second clutch plates (10) are connected to one side of a spring (82) of predetermined spring rate, which is also connected to one of the valve members, and the other side of the spring is connected to the other of the valve members and to the other rotary shaft (4).
