    • The invention provides a golf ball comprising a core of at least one layer, a cover of at least one layer, and optionally an intermediate layer therebetween, characterized in that at least one layer of the core, cover and intermediate layer is formed of a golf ball-forming resin composition comprising, in admixture, (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyether ester block copolymer composed primarily of (a) high-melting crystalline polymer segments made of crystalline aromatic polyester units and (b) low-melting polymer segments made of aliphatic polyether units and (B) 0.05–10 parts by weight of a polyisocyanate compound. Using the golf ball-forming resin composition which has flexibility and high rebound resilience and is fully wear resistant, the inventive golf ball is improved in travel distance, feel, scuff resistance and impact durability.

    • A golf ball is formed with a resin composition which contains 5 to 95 weight % of a polyester block copolymer (A) and 95 to 5 weight % of an ionomer resin (B); and a (polyester-aromatic vinyl based copolymer) block copolymer (C), which is mixed with both the polyester block copolymer (A) and the ionomer resin (B) in an amount of 1 to 40 parts by weight on the basis of 100 parts by weight of the total of the polyester block copolymer (A) and the ionomer resin (B). The polyester block copolymer (A) mainly contains a high-melting point crystalline polymer segment (a1) composed of a crystalline aromatic polyester unit, and a low-melting point polymer segment (a2) composed of an aliphatic polyether unit and/or an aliphatic polyester unit. The ionomer resin (B) is produced by neutralizing a copolymer mainly containing an &agr;-olefine (b1) and an &agr;,&bgr;-unsaturated carboxylic acid (b2) having 3 to 8 carbon atoms with at least one metal ion (b3) selected from univalent, divalent, and trivalent metal ions. The (polyester-aromatic vinyl based copolymer) block copolymer (C) contains a block (c1) composed of a polyester, and at least one block (c2) selected from block or random copolymers containing aromatic vinyl based monomers and conjugated dienes and/or hydrogenated products thereof.

    • A golf ball comprising a part of a resin composition comprising (A) a polyester block copolymer, (B) an ionomer resin, (C) a polyester-aromatic vinyl copolymer block copolymer and (D) an epoxy-modified graft polymer comprising an olefin polymer backbone and vinyl polymer pendants wherein components (C) and (D) help to mix components (A) and (B) in a more compatible manner is provided. The resin composition has flexibility, high resilience, toughness, flexural fatigue resistance and tear strength, exhibits a sufficiently smooth flow in the melt to injection mold, and develops no delamination when molded, and the golf ball offers increased distance and pleasant feel upon impact and is endowed with superior durability.
