    • An electrode catheter used in an endocardial procedure to map cardiac electrical activity, heart wall position, heart wall motion and tissue viability. The electrode catheter has a flexible geometric shape for mapping any cardiac chamber and can be rotated within the chamber without being re-deployed. The electrode catheter is made from joining a tube with 4 to 256 wire leads having terminal ends and coiled electrodes. The tube either has holes or a longitudinal slit so that the coiled electrodes can protrude from the central cavity of the tube. The electrode catheter ends with a tip member that is attached to the tube by a swivel connector. The tip member has tines to allow for temporary stability when in contact with a cardiac wall. The electrode catheter is conformed to a flexible shape using a jig and heating process.

    • A method of sterilization of a container is provided whereby a cold plasma is caused to be disposed near a surface to be sterilized, and the cold plasma is then subjected to a pulsed voltage differential for producing energized ions in the plasma. Those energized ions then operate to achieve spore destruction on the surface to be sterilized. Further, a system for sterilization of a container which includes a conductive or non-conductive container, a cold plasma in proximity to the container, and a high voltage source for delivering a pulsed voltage differential between an electrode and the container and across the cold plasma, is provided.

    • A driven gear (3a), a gear (11a) to a rotary solenoid (15a) and an output drive gear (19a) are mounted to rotate together, preferably as one part turning on a stationary shaft (7a). The driven gear and the output drive gear have disengagement sectors (5a and 20a). Activation of the solenoid turns the driven gear into engagement with a normally turning drive gear (1a). Shortly after the sector on the output gear is cleared, and the load (27) is driven through engagement with driven gear (23a). After one cycle, the detent force of the solenoid positions the sector 5a so that engagement is terminated. Because the rotary solenoid need only move the gears 3a, 11a and 19a, the size of the load is immaterial to the physical requirements for the solenoid and its reliability of operation.

    • A single manually operated mode selector lever controls selection of a push, pull or park mode of operation of a form feed tractor in a printer. The lever controls a cam which moves a spring-biased tractor drive shaft axially so that a gear on the drive shaft selectively engages a first gear which drives the shaft in a first direction, a second gear which drives the shaft in a second direction, or engages no gear so that the drive shaft is not driven. The form feed tractors are mounted on the drive shaft so that the shaft may move along its axis relative to the tractors or the tractors may be pivoted relative to the shaft. The mode selector lever also controls a mechanism which applies a force to a tractor plate so as to pivot the tractors about the drive shaft, thereby changing the orientation of the tractors relative to the platen. The force applied to the tractor plate is also transmitted to pressure or pinch rolls in the pull mode to relieve constraint on movement of the forms.
