摘要： A liquid phase process is disclosed for producing halogenated alkane adducts of the formula CAR1R2CBR3R4 (where A, B, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are as defined in the specification) which involves contacting a corresponding halogenated alkane, AB, with a corresponding olefin, CR1R2═CR3R4 in a dinitrile or cyclic carbonate ester solvent which divides the reaction mixture into two liquid phases and in the presence of a catalyst system containing (i) at least one catalyst selected from monovalent and divalent copper; and optionally (ii) a promoter selected from aromatic or aliphatic heterocyclic compounds which contain at least one carbon-nitrogen double bond in the heterocyclic ring. When hydrochlorofluorocarbons are formed, the chlorine content may be reduced by reacting the hydrochlorofluorocarbons with HF.New compounds disclosed include CF3CF2CCl2CH2CCl3, CF3CCl2CH2CH2Cl and CF3CCl2CH2CHClF. These compounds are useful as intermediates for producing hydrofluorocarbons.Azeotropes of CClF2CH2CF3 with HF and azeotropes of CF3CH2CHF2 with HF are also disclosed; as are process for producing such azeotropes.A process for purification of certain hydrofluorocarbons and/or chloro-precursors thereof from mixtures of such compounds with HF is also disclosed.

摘要： A process for the manufacture of CF3CH═CF2 and CF3CF═CHF is disclosed. The process involves (a) reacting HF and chlorine and at least one halopropene of the formula CX3CCI═CCIX (where each X is independently F or Cl) to produce a product including both CF3CCI2CF3 and CF3CCIFCCIF2; (b) reacting CF3CCI2CF3 and CF3CCIFCCIF2 produced in (a) with hydrogen to produce a product including both CF3CH2CF3 and CF3CHFCHF2; (c) dehydrofluorinating CF3CH2CF3 and CF3CHFCHF2 produced in (b) to produce a product including both CF3CH═CF2 and CF3CF═CHF; and (d) recovering CF3CH═CF2 and CF3CF═CHF from the product produced in (c). In (a), both CF3CCI2CF3 and CF3CCIFCCIF2 are produced in the presence of a chlorofluorination catalyst consisting of (i) compositions comprising a crystalline alpha-chromium oxide where at least 0.05 atom % of the chromium atoms in the alpha-chromium oxide lattice are replaced by copper, and (H) compositions of (i) which have been treated with a fluorinating agent.

摘要： A photochemical reaction apparatus including a reactor and a light source situated so that light from the light source is directed through a portion of the reactor wall is disclosed. The apparatus is characterized by the portion of the reaction wall comprising a copolymer of a perfluoro (alkyl vinyl ether). The perfluoro (alkyl vinyl ether) is selected from the group consisting of CF30CF═CF2, C2F5OCF═CF2, C3F7OCF═F2, and mixture thereof. Also disclosed is a photochemical reaction process wherein light from a light source is directed through said reactor wall to interact with reactants in said reactor. A process for increasing the fluorine content of at least one compound selected from hydrocarbons and halohydrocarbons, comprising: (a) photochlorinating said at least one compound; and (b) reacting the halogenated hydrocarbon produced in (a) with HF. A process for producing an olefinic compound, comprising: (a) photochlorinating at least one compound selected from hydrocarbons and halohydrocarbons containing at least two carbon atoms and at least two hydrogen atoms to produce a halogenated hydrocarbon containing a hydrogen substituent and a chlorine substituent on adjacent carbon atoms; and (b) subjecting the halogenated hydrocarbon produced in (a) to dehydrohalogenation.

The process involves contacting CH2ClCF2CF3 with H2 in a reaction zone in the presence of a catalyst including a catalytically effective amount of palladium supported on a support selected from chromium oxide, fluorinated chromium oxide, chromium fluoride, aluminum oxide, aluminum fluoride and/or fluorinated alumina, to produce CH2═CFCF3. The mole ratio of H2 to the CH2ClCF2CF3 fed to the reaction zone is between about 1:1 and about 4:1. Also disclosed is a process for making CH2ClCF2CF5. This process involves reacting CH2ClF with CF2═CF2 in a reaction zone in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of an aluminum halide composition having a bulk formula of AlClxBryF3-x-y wherein the average value of x is 0 to 3, the average value of y is 0 to 3-x, provided that the average values of x and y are not both 0. 摘要： A process is disclosed for making CH2═CFCF3. The process involves contacting CH2ClCF2CF3 with H2 in a reaction zone in the presence of a catalyst including a catalytically effective amount of palladium supported on a support selected from chromium oxide, fluorinated chromium oxide, chromium fluoride, aluminum oxide, aluminum fluoride and/or fluorinated alumina, to produce CH2═CFCF3. The mole ratio of H2 to the CH2ClCF2CF3 fed to the reaction zone is between about 1:1 and about 4:1. Also disclosed is another process for making CH2═CFCF3 that involves (a) reacting CH2ClCF2CF3 with H2 in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of hydrogenation catalyst to form CH3CF2CF3; and (b) dehydrofluorinating CH3CF2CF3 from (a) to form CH2═CFCF3; and another process for making CH2═CFCF3 that involves (1) dehydrofluorinating CH2ClCF2CF3 in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of dehydrofluorination catalyst to form CHCl═CFCF3; and (2) hydrogenating CHCl═CFCF3 from (1) in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst including a catalytically effective amount of palladium supported on a support selected from chromium oxide, fluorinated chromium oxide, chromium fluoride, aluminum oxide, aluminum fluoride and/or fluorinated alumina to form CH2═CFCF3.
