    • Retaining contact data for a subscriber to a mobile communication network may be provided by a method and apparatus components therefor that allow for storing contact data for subscribers to a mobile network located within an area served by a mobile switching center, receiving confirmation at the mobile switching center (MSC) that a subscriber has left the area, updating the contact data to identify that the subscriber has left the area, and retaining at least part of the contact data, the retained part of the contact data containing call forwarding details for the subscriber.

    • A device and method is provided of administrating an application within a bearer of a mobile communication network. An example method comprises activating by means of a mobile device an application requiring access to the mobile communication network, identifying the application by means of an application identification unit, allocating an application index to the application by means of the application identification unit based on the identification of the application, and coupling the application index to an access request related to the application by means of the application identification unit, such that managing network resources based on the coupled application index is enabled. Devices, methods, network components and communication systems are provided to couple an application index in a flexible way to an application running on a mobile device in order to enable management of access requests requiring the same quality of service (QoS).

    • Method and device for reducing signalling loads from a mobile device to a mobile telecommunications network system due to intersystem changes. The network system comprises a first and second radio access technology having a first and second radio access network and a first and second network core operable to page a mobile device via at least one element each of the first and second radio access technology. When idle or inactive state signalling reduction (“ISR”) is activated at the mobile device, the mobile device stores at least one first EPS bearer context and/or at least one first PDP context. After ISR is activated, at least one second EPS bearer context and/or at least one second PDP context is activated between the mobile device and the respective network. The respective network uses the stored at least one first contexts, or the at least one second contexts.
