摘要： A system, method and computer program for paginating information received from a content provider so that it may be displayed on any type of user terminal having any size screen and having different types of mechanisms for input of information. This system has a pagination and terminal adaptation module which will calculate the space needed by element to be displayed on a user terminal. The pagination and terminal adaptation module will then determine if sufficient space exits on the user terminal screen to display the element. When sufficient space does not exist on the user terminal screen then the pagination and terminal adaptation module will resize the element when possible in order to make it fit. The pagination and terminal adaptation module accesses a database of user terminal profile information to determine the characteristics of the user terminal as well as the screen size. This system further is able to transmit information in a continuous stream to the user terminal or as a single element that will only update a portion of the user terminal screen. Using this system a user is able to access web site pages regardless of the type of terminal being used and no matter how small the screen size is.

摘要： A system and method is provided for permitting a data terminal to connect to a broadcast station web site and to receive a broadcast station broadcast in response to selection of a bookmark. Selection of the bookmark results in a tuner on the data terminal being tuned to receive a broadcast while the data terminal substantially simultaneously connects to a web site for the broadcast station. Broadcast frequency information and web site address information for the bookmark may be stored on the data terminal, or such information may be stored remotely, such as on a station id server in communication with the data terminal. The bookmark may be programmed by the user and may represent different broadcast stations according to parameters.

摘要： A method and system for playing a distributed game over a wireless telecommunications network is disclosed. The game is initiated when a game server sends a task (e.g., a question) to a first group of mobile terminals. Each mobile terminal may either respond to the task (e.g., submit an answer) or forward the task to another mobile terminal. Once a mobile terminal forwards the task, that mobile terminal no longer retains the task. The game ends when a mobile terminal submits a correct task response, when a global time limit ends, or when all mobile terminals have submitted incorrect responses. Responses and forwards can be sent using any known data messaging technique.

The method and system allow interactive input from a viewer of the video services simultaneously with viewing the video services. The method and system also allows an interactive response to the viewer from the interactive application. To present betting information in an attractive format and maximize the information available to the bettor, a user interface to the real-time service is required. With regard to real-time betting, the bettor is presented information concerning the betting opportunities and the betting window. Since most bettors prefer to have as much information as possible prior to betting, they prefer to wait until the last possible moment to bet. The disclosed embodiments provide the bettor with betting window information and the latest information concerning the prospective wagers. Moreover, the user interface is designed to provide such information in a manner that both attracts the attention of the bettor and provides the information in a useful, easy to follow and navigate format. The betting server checks the data transmission speed so that all users can have an adequate betting window. Users will receive confirmation of attempted bets. In WAP equipped mobile stations, betting can be accomplished across a wireless Internet connection. For example, bettors using GSM mobile stations can receive information by short message services through GSM SC.

摘要： A media system comprising a broadcast system, a telecommunication system, a content processing system, and a user terminal. While a media stream is broadcast, a group of content items associated with the media stream are generated. The content items are presented in the user terminal in a first mode, wherein a presentation element corresponding to a content item is changed to another presentation element according to the timing information of the content item, or in a second mode wherein a presentation element is changed to another presentation element in response to a user action. Transition from the second mode is allowed only by authorization according to a pre-defined procedure. The interactive operations are thus controlled by the user and thus not overridden by content timed or pushed to the user terminal for display.
