    • An automatic exposure control apparatus of electric type for a photographic camera having an exposure control parameter setting means cooperative with a geometrical progression scale in isometric graduation is provided with a resistor device. The device includes a variable resistor having a grounded slider associated with the setting means upon movement thereof for providing a resistor value proportional to the amount of movement of the setting means, but to the reciprocal logarithm of the preselected parameter value. In order to minimize the complexity of a computer circuit responsive to the various outputs of the resistor device for performing photographic Appex computation, a bias voltage is applied to each of the variable resistors in a manner to produce a signal in the form of current proportional to the reciprocal of the amount of movement of the setting means. The resistor device has a single substrate having a plurality of resistor elements formed thereon by a metal coating technique and arranged for cooperation with respective sliders, thereby improving the exposure control accuracy and stabilization of the performance of the computer circuit against variation of temperature distribution in the apparatus.

Immediately after started execution of the application program, the CPU sets a system environment of the apparatus on a basis of one set of the memorized system setting data designated by the designation data and changes the memorized system setting data and designation data during execution of the application program. During execution of the application program, the CPU executes sampling processing, trimming processing and mapping processing of the application program in sequence to produce a musical tone control data.

    • An electronic musical instrument stores a plurality of waveform samples. A predetermined number of waveform samples are selected from the plurality of waveform samples. Pitch information for designating a pitch within a predetermined tone range is generated. In response to instructions for automatic assignment of waveform samples, partial tone ranges equal in number to the predetermined number are set within the predetermined tone range, and the predetermined number of the waveform samples selected are assigned to the partial tone ranges, respectively. In response to the pitch information, a partial tone range to which the pitch information belongs is detected from the partial tone ranges. A waveform sample assigned to the detected partial tone range is read. A musical tone is generated based on the read waveform sample.
