摘要： A method includes determining whether selective catalytic reduction (SCR) test conditions are present, and in response to the SCR test conditions being present, operating an SCR aftertreatment system at a number of reduced ammonia to NOx ratio (ANR) operating points. The method further includes determining a deNOx efficiency value corresponding to each of the ANR operating points. The method further includes determining a reductant correction value in response to the deNOx efficiency values corresponding to each of the ANR operating points, and providing a reductant injection command in response to the reductant correction value.

摘要： A thermal applicator for medical use which is worn upon or applied directly to the body of a patient to modify its temperature for therapeutic treatment. The preferred embodiment of the present invention contemplates the utilization of a heat pipe having first and second ends and a length, the first and second ends communicating with first and second thermally conductive plates, respectively, the first thermally conductive plate configured to communicate with an exterior portion of the body of the patient and to provide localized thermal treatment, the second thermally conductive plate placed at an area removed from the area to be treated, and configured to accept, for example, an ice pack (or other thermal material or apparatus) to affect a change in the temperature of the second thermally conductive plate, cooling the second end of the heat pipe and allowing the heat pipe to cool the first thermally conductive plate, thereby providing localized cooling of the area to which it is applied. An alternative embodiment of the invention contemplates a heat source in lieu of the ice pack, wherein the second thermally conductive plate would function as an evaporator, thereby providing a reverse cycle in the heat pipe, for heating the area to be treated via the first thermally conductive plate. The present invention may be utilized for localized thermal application on various parts of the body, and several examples are illustrated, including an exemplary system to treat plantar fasciitis.

摘要： A device for hydraulic control of gas exchange valves of a reciprocating internal combustion engine which has slave cylinders in operative connection with one or more gas exchange valves and master actuators in operative connection with at least one cam provided with a basic and cam profile of a camshaft that is rotatably driven by the engine and can be hydraulically connected to the slave cylinders. The device also has a control device controlled by an actuating member, the device controlling the volume of hydraulic liquid fed to the slave cylinders, and at least one feed line, via which low pressure liquid from a pressure source can be fed to the device by means of at least one non-return valve. The actuators have displaceable vanes, a component carrying the vanes, and cells limited by walls. The vanes are in operative connection with the basic and cam profile of the cam.

摘要： A switchable bucket tappet for a valve drive of an internal combustion engine, which has a bucket basic body with a ring-like base. A hollow-cylindrical projection protrudes from an inner edge of the base, and in the bore of the projection an inner body extends. Two coupler pistons lie opposite one another and, to achieve a full valve stroke, engage in sections with a driver surface of the bucket basic body which run in a radial hole of the inner body. A zero valve stroke is achieved when the coupler piston is displaced completely into the radial hole of the inner body, which is baseless and free of contact with a cam. The projection has a window-like aperture, with the underside acting as the driver surface for an upper side of the coupler piston during coupling. The region of the base is an approximately symmetrical and continuously thin-walled formation.

摘要： In a guide rail for the valve train of an internal combustion engine, having receiving spaces disposed in an elongate body in spaced-apart relationship behind one another and accommodating valve lifters, flats are formed upon the outer surface area of each valve lifter to prevent the lifter from rotating about its central longitudinal axis. These flats are supported by flats of the guide rail which are located within the pertaining receiving space. An inlet bore is assigned to each receiving space of the elongate body for insertion of the valve lifter with an attached trumpet-like end in direction of its longitudinal axis. Subsequently the valve lifter is shifted in axis-parallel relationship to the flats of the guide rail, which act as rotation-inhibiting surfaces, and then is slightly displaced again in axial direction.

In the finger lever (1) of the invention, the outer lever (2) has a substantially open fork-like configuration, the contact surface (11) for the cam on the inner lever (4) is configured as a rotatable roller (12) and the coupling means (15) comprises at least one slide (16, 19, 22) that extends crosswise to a longitudinal direction of the finger lever (1), an axial line of the at least one slide (16, 19, 22) coincides with an axial line of the roller (12), and the fulcrum (10) of the inner lever (4) is situated at least approximately at a same point on a length of the finger lever (1) as a fulcrum of the outer lever (2) in a region of the complementary surface (7) of the finger lever (1). The switchable finger lever (1) of the invention has only a small design space requirement and a coupling mechanism of a relatively simple structure.

On the other hand, unnecessary “pumping up” of the backlash compensation element (9) during the stroke phases of the slave piston (5) is prevented by the previously mentioned admission of hydraulic medium.
