    • The invention is directed to an anti-skid control system for an electrically operated vehicle having an electric motor and a regenerative braking system. The system sets a desired decreasing wheel speed, when a skid detector detects a skidding condition of the wheel in response to the output signal of a wheel speed detector. A controller controls a regenerative braking torque of the electric motor in accordance with a control mode selected from a torque control mode, in which the regenerative braking torque is provided in proportion to operation of a brake operating member, and a rotation control mode, in which the regenerative braking torque is controlled to rotate the electric motor at a predetermined speed corresponding to the desired decreasing wheel speed. The controller changes the torque control mode to the rotation control mode when the skid detector detects the skidding condition.

An orifice element is further arranged to throttle the flow of pressurized fluid supplied to the first piston through the regulator and solenoid valves to maintain the power pressure acting on the second piston.

    • In a brake pressure control device having an inlet port for connection to a master cylinder and an outlet port for connection to a wheel brake cylinder, a differential piston cooperates with a first annular valve seat arranged in a first passage between the inlet and outlet ports, and an inertia-controlled valve element contained within a valve chamber formed in a second passage between the inlet and outlet ports to cooperate with a second annular valve seat fixed to one end portion of the piston. In such an arrangement, the valve element rests in place to be spaced from the second valve seat when the deceleration is below a predetermined value, the valve element being engaged with the second valve seat when subjected to the deceleration in excess of the predetermined value, and the piston is displaced against a spring load acting thereto to increase the space between the second valve seat and the valve element before the deceleration reaches the predetermined value under a heavy loaded condition of the vehicle.

    • An anti-skid apparatus for installation in a vehicle braking system having a regulator valve for producing a hydraulic power pressure in accordance with a hydraulic braking pressure from a master cylinder. And, a changeover valve is disposed between the regulator valve and the control cylinder, and applies the hydraulic power pressure to the piston or discharges it from the control cylinder.
