    • An embroidery data processing system controls an automatic sewing machine to produce an embroidery design having a blurred side or blurred boundary line between adjacent blocks which make up the embroidery design. The embroidery data processing system includes a first memory storage area for storing side information indicating sides of each of the blocks, a second memory storage area for storing thread density information indicating the thread density of stitches to be formed in said each block, a third memory stoage area for storing in/out patterns indicating how stitching points are to be displaced with respect to the sides of a selected one of the blocks, which are indicated by the side information, and a controller for calculating stitching points depending on the thread density information along the sides of the selected block according to the in/out patterns, and for calculating stitching points depending on the thread density information along the sides of another block than the selected block, which are indicated by the side information. The third memory storage area may store in/out patterns indicating how stitching points are to be displaced with respect to the sides of said each block which are indicated by the side information, and the controller may calculate stitching points depending on the thread density information along the side of said each block according to the in/out patterns.

    • Herein disclosed is a data processing system for a sewing machine, which system comprises: a needle adapted to be moved upward and downward; holding means for holding a material to be stitched; and means for causing a relative movement between said needle and said holding means on the basis of a pattern data indicating a positional relationship therebetween. The data processing system further comprises: first memory means stored with a plurality of unit pattern data related to said relative movement for forming a stitching pattern respectively; pattern selecting means for selecting at least one of stitching pattern from said first memory means; second memory means for storing said selected unit pattern data; designating means for designating a plurality of points on a desired curve; standard line determining means for determining a standard line passing through the plural points designated by said designating means; and computing means for correcting said selected unit pattern data so as to form the stitching pattern, which is stored in said second memory means, along the standard line determine.

    • The invention provides a multistage heating system including a compact multistage furnace of which the installation area in a factory is decreased and a work carrier machine. A multistage furnace is configured by piling up a plurality of furnace units in the vertical direction. Each of the furnace units includes an upper heater and a lower heater, support pipes disposed on the upper heater and extending in the horizontal direction, and a plurality of work support bars mounted over the support pipes. A work carrier machine includes work carrier bars extending in the horizontal direction, a horizontal motion mechanism connecting the ends of the work carrier bars and move the work carrier bars on horizontal rails, and a vertical motion mechanism moving the body of the work carrier machine including the horizontal rails on vertical rails.

    • The invention provides a compact multistage furnace of which the installation area in a factory is decreased. A multistage furnace is configured by piling up a plurality of furnace units in the vertical direction. Each of the furnace units includes an upper heater and a lower heater layered in the vertical direction and holding a heat insulator therebetween, a support pipe disposed on one end of the upper heater and extending in the horizontal direction, a support pipe disposed on other end of the upper heater and extending in the horizontal direction, and a plurality of work support bars mounted over the support pipes. The back surface of a work supported by the work support bars is opposed to the upper heater and the front surface of the work is opposed to the lower heater of the adjacent furnace unit disposed above.
