摘要： A formed body with a cavity structure for the sound and/or heat insulation of buildings. The formed body has a cavity structure and has pre-foamed polystyrene particles compressed in a mould or on a conveyor belt system under the influence of pressure and/or heat. The formed body has a communicating cavity volume and the communicating cavity volume has a volume fraction that amounts to 5 to 30 vol. %, preferably 10 to 25 vol. %, particularly 15 to 20 vol. %, referred to the total volume of the formed body, and comprising at least part of the pre-foamed polystyrene particles firmly enclosed in a cured organic or inorganic binder that is used for coating at least part of the polystyrene particles prior to their compression in a mould or on a conveyor belt system.

摘要： A process for producing metal foams comprising mixing one or more metal powders, if desired combined with particulate metallic or nonmetallic, e.g., mineral, additives of varying particle size, with a gas-liberating blowing agent; optionally preheating the mixture in an open or closed mold to a temperature below the decomposition temperature of the blowing agent; subsequently heating the mixture to a temperature above the melting point of the lowest-melting metal in such a way that the temperature rises from the equilibrium decomposition temperature of the blowing agent to the melting point of the metal in a time which is shorter than the time required to reach the equilibrium state in the blowing agent/blowing gas system at this temperature and subsequently cooling the resulting metal foam to a temperature below the melting point of the lowest-melting metal is provided as well as foamed metal bodies obtained using the inventive process.

摘要： Polyether siloxanes, which are linked to the polysiloxane backbone through Si--C bonds, are synthesized by reacting given polysiloxanes with a compound having at least one epoxide group in such amounts, that there are at least two epoxide groups per OH group, in the presence of Lewis acids at temperatures not exceeding 60.degree. C. or in the presence of complex catalysts, which accelerate the addition between epoxide groups and hydroxyl groups, at temperatures up to 140.degree. C., the reaction optionally being carried out in the presence of an inert solvent. The polyether siloxanes obtained have a defined functionality and are free of excess, unreacted polyol components.
