摘要： A furniture member having powered rocking motion includes a frame and an actuation mechanism rotatably connected to the frame and movable in forward and rearward rocking motions with respect to the frame. A powered rocking drive device includes a motor connected to the actuation mechanism and a solenoid. The solenoid when energized releasably couples the motor to the frame such that operation of the motor automatically induces the forward and rearward rocking motions of the actuation mechanism. The solenoid when de-energized decouples the motor from the frame permitting an occupant to induce the forward and rearward rocking motions of the actuation mechanism with respect to the frame.

The mechanism inner portion includes a seat back portion; a leg rest portion; and a first drive assembly connected to the mechanism inner portion sequentially operating to extend the leg rest portion from a stowed to a fully extended position followed by seat back portion rotation from an upright to a fully reclined position. A second drive assembly connected between the mechanism support base and the support base side displaces the support base side and the mechanism inner portion with respect to the mechanism support base. A frame structure connected to the support base side is moved to at least a forward fully raised position by operation of the lift/drive mechanism.

Options include a suction cup and suspended from a flexible plastic cord that tethers the toy to a surface such as a high chair tray.

The wire member is connected to the gear assembly for axial displacement. A lever arm connected to the gear assembly defines a lever arm first axis of rotation. Rotating the lever arm in a first direction about the first axis of rotation axially incrementally displaces the wire member in the first displacement direction. The lever arm is rotatably connected to a pivot base defining a second axis of rotation of the lever arm transverse to the first axis of rotation. Rotating the lever arm about the second axis of rotation displaces the wire member in the second displacement direction.

摘要： A wheeled reclining chair is provided which includes an improved swing link assembly for permitting the seat back assembly to recline approximately 180.degree. relative to the seat assembly to provide a substantially flat occupant-supporting surface such that the seat back provides a rearwardly extending cantilevered surface and the leg rest assembly provides a forwardly extending cantilevered surface from the chair frame assembly. The swing linkage assembly includes a pair of front slide assemblies and a pair of rear swing linkage mechanisms which suspend and operably couple the seat assembly to the chair frame for providing the desired reclining motion. A mobile base assembly having front and rear wheels which can be removed from the base assembly is also provided. The wheeled reclining chair includes a tilt linkage mechanism for tilting the chair frame relative to the mobile base assembly. The mobile base assembly optionally includes brakes which can be actuated either by the seat occupant, or by a care giver for preventing movement of the wheeled health care chair.

The first and second bracket members each allow a frame of a seat member of the seating section to be secured to the side walls of the seating section after the side walls have been secured to a pair of frame rails or other like members. In an alternative preferred embodiment a pair of seatback brackets are incorporated for allowing a frame of the seatback member to be secured to the sidewalls of the fixed seating section after the sidewalls have been secured to the frame rails or other like frame members of the sofa assembly. In this manner the seatback member and seat member of the fixed seating section can be upholstered at a location remote from that at which assembly of the sidewalls and other frame members of the sofa assembly takes place. Thus, upholstering of the seatback member and seat member can be accomplished generally simultaneously with other assembly operations to expedite and simplify the assembly process of the sofa assembly.

摘要： A mechanism is provided for detachably interconnecting a seat base and a seat back of a chair such that the application of pressure to the seat back causes deflection therebetween and which returns to its normal orientation upon releasing the applied pressure. The mechanism includes a plate member secured to the chair frame adjacent the seat base. A upstanding link member is pivotably secured to the plate member and the two are interconnected with a spring member for providing resistance to the pivoting motion. The upstanding link member is further formed with a lost-motion slot through which extends a pin which is secured into the plate member for thereby limiting the amount of deflection. The upper portion of the upstanding link member is formed to receive a detachable seat back assembly. The detachable seat back mechanism of the present invention is also uniquely adapted to provide at least two means for adjusting the amount of pressure required on the seat back to cause deflection.
