    • The present invention proposes a disc player without risk of damaging a disc and which has the ability to achieve the miniaturization and simplification of the construction.A disc is fed by transferring the loading motor power to a roller through a operation means and a clutch means. Further, a guidance rack plate is engaged with the operation means gear by the disc moving power, and a slider is engaged with the operation means gear by movement of the guidance rack plate which receives the power of the loading motor. Furthermore, the clutch means is removed from the power transfer path by the slider movement causing the roller to separate from the disc and move the clamper to the disc clamping position.

    • Tape recorder able to actuate a plurality of mechanisms, such as an ejector mechanism, a head moving mechanism, and a high-speed rotation transmission mechanism, by the turning force of the motor for transporting tape. The cam gear is rotatable by the motor for transporting tape, a rocking lever is engaged with the cam gear, and an electromagnet for EJECT motion, an ejector mechanism connected operatively to the rocking lever by the electromagnet for EJECT motion, an electromagnet for PLAY motion, and a head moving mechanism connected operatively to the rocking lever by the electromagnet for PLAY motion are also provided. The turning force of the motor is transmitted to the ejector mechanism, or the head moving mechanism through the cam gear and the rocking lever. Another tape recorder includes a cam gear, a rocking lever, a head moving mechanism, electromagnets for PLAY, FAST FORWARD and REWIND motion, a member for changing the traveling direction of tape connected operatively to the electromagnets for FAST FORWARD and REWIND motion, a rotatable member supported rotatably to the member for changing the traveling direction of tape, and a high-speed rotation transmission mechanism connected operatively to the rotatable member. The turning force of the motor is transmitted to the head moving mechanism through the cam gear and the rocking lever, and also to the high-speed rotation mechanism through the head moving mechanism and the rotatable member.

    • A tape feeding direction controlling device for an automatic reversing tape recorder wherein operation of a first or a second high speed operating member during a reproducing operation will cause high speed feeding of a tape in the same or in the opposite direction. The tape feeding direction controlling device comprises a feeding direction controlling member, a high speed change-over member, and a pivotal member connected to be bodily moved by the feeding direction controlling member. Depending upon whether the pivotal member is at its first or second position, it is pivoted in opposite directions by the first or second high speed operating member, and pivotal motion of the pivotal member in one or the other direction moves the high speed change-over member from its neutral position to a first or a second position in which it causes a tape feeding mechanism to feed a tape at a high speed in one or the other direction.

    • The invention is a proposal of a pick-up drive apparatus for a disc player, which permits reducing the rotation resistance offered by a feed screw for driving a pick-up. A guide shaft and a feed screw are disposed side by side. an engagement part of a coupling member is held in radial and elastically forced contact with the feed screw. With rotation of the feed screw, the coupling member is thus advanced and retreated in the axial directions of the feed screw. A pick-up seat carrying a pick-up is caused to follow the coupling member for advancement and retreat along the guide shaft. The coupling member is mounted on the guide shaft for rocking movement and axial advancement and retreat. The coupling member has a pair of clamping pieces clamping the feed screw from the opposite sides in the direction of rocking movement. The engagement part is formed on one of the clamping members.
