    • An attachment of a fuel injection valve is formed at least from the main body and the insert which bound the gas supply passages between them and direct the gas in a metered and targeted manner onto the sprayed fuel. The attachment makes it possible to separate the functions of gas supply and metering from those of sealing the fuel injection valve against an induction conduit and fastening the attachment on the fuel injection valve. Furthermore, the design configuration results in a large number of variants which can be achieved by very simple and low-cost exchangeability of parts by virtue of the modularity of the system. The fuel injection valve is particularly suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture compressing internal combustion engines with external ignition supply.

    • A fuel injection valve including a pan-shaped protective cap having a radially outwardly extending recess which, together with the fuel injection valve, forms a gap which is so narrow that it exerts a capillary effect on the fuel so that, when the internal combustion engine is shut down, the high boiling point constituents of the fuel are deposited at the radial outer edge of the gap, because of the capillary effect, and the injection openings remain free from deposits. The protective cap of the invention has at least three protrusions formed from its bottom and protruding in the direction of the fuel injection valve to a predetermined axial distance, the protrusions of the protective cap being in contact with the orifice plate of the fuel injection valve, forming an axial gap in a simple manner between the bottom and the orifice plate. The protective cap can be used with fuel injection valves of various types.

    • The gas distributor apparatus has a common gas-supply line for supplying gas to a plurality of devices, e.g., arranged in series, the gas-supply line representing a substructure with an inner supply orifice and connecting pieces, which conform in number to the devices for injecting a fuel-gas mixture, and which extend in a normal direction starting from the gas-supply line and contain branched-off ports that communicate directly with the supply orifice. A permanent connection is established between the gas distributor apparatus and the devices in that gas-intake ducts are configured on the gas-containing bodies at least partially surrounding the devices, the gas-intake ducts having functional elements and projecting with these elements into the connecting pieces of the gas distributor apparatus. The gas is made available simultaneously for all devices in the supply orifice and then flows in each case via one connecting piece to a device. Thus, the gas distributor device represents a very compact assembly, which is very simple to assemble and disassemble. The gas distributor device is especially suited for fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.

    • A stop plate for assembly between a stop shoulder of a valve needle and an inner shoulder of a valve casing in known fuel injection valves. The stop plate limits the stroke of the valve needle and, between its through opening and its circumference, has an assembly slot. During the flanging of the valve casing and the high axial forces connected with this assembly a high edge pressure at the assembly slot and nonuniform deformations of the valve casing may occur. The stop plate includes at least two recesses which are formed in an upper stop face of the stop plate, the said stop face resting against the inner shoulder of the valve casing, these recesses lying symmetrically to a center line of the assembly slot and in a half of the stop plate in which the assembly slot is not formed. The recesses lead to a uniform and reduced impressing of the stop plate into the valve casing. This configuration of the fuel injection valve is particularly suitable for fuel injection systems of spark-ignition internal combustion engines.
