The transmission mechanism includes at least one pivotably mounted interlever interacting between the setting member and the actuating arm so that interaction between the interlever and the setting member or the actuating arm occurs by a setting contour. The transmission mechanism includes at least one adjustment device to alter the transmission ratio between the movement of the setting member and the pivoting movement of the actuating arm.

The clamping jaws are cylinder sections of visco-elastic material. The expanding members are metal, are located between the hinge pot and the respective clamping jaws, and have hooks at their free ends. Opposite the hooks are provided contact pressure cams which are supported against a housing wall of the hinge pot.
