摘要： A printed cloth in which a dye is deposited in dots on the cloth to form a desired printed pattern. Said dot deposition is formed in a length of 0.05 to 0.3 mm to the longitudinal direction of the fiber in single fiber unit of the yarn constituting said cloth. A fine printed pattern is deposited clearly in good reproducibility. The printed pattern can be formed by using the dyes of the three primary colors or of the three primary colors and black color. It is preferred that Dyes I , II and III having a perceived chromaticity index (a) and (b) defined in the color range [CIE 1976 (L, a, b) space] on the cloth within the following range are used as said dyes of three primary colors and DyeIV is used as said black dye. I Yellow: (a) −20˜0 (b) 50˜90 II Red: (a) 50˜70 (b) 0˜20 III Blue: (a) −50˜−1 (b) −50˜−20 IV Black: (a) −6˜6 (b) −6˜6 Such a printed cloth can be prepared by a procedure in which a printing ink is deposited in dots on the surface of a cloth by using a dye spraying device having a nozzle of 80 dots/mm or more and controlled based on the image signal.

The electron-emitting device comprising: a first electrode arranged on a surface of a substrate; an insulating layer arranged on the first electrode; a second electrode arranged on the insulating layer; and an electron-emitting film arranged on the second electrode, where the second electrode has two side surfaces that oppose each other in a direction parallel to the surface of the substrate, and the electron-emitting film is arranged so as to be shifted toward one of the two side surfaces.

摘要： A method of manufacturing an electron-emitting device includes providing a pair of electrodes and an electroconductive thin film arranged between the electrodes. The method also includes a step of forming an electron-emitting region in the electroconductive film by the steps of partially modifying the composition of the electroconductive thin film with a chemical change to make a region of the electroconductive thin film have a higher resistivity than a resistivity in other regions, and causing an electric current to run through the electroconductive thin film to form the electron-emitting region in the region having the higher resistivity.

摘要： In an optical amplifying apparatus of this invention, there are provided an optical amplifier part for giving a gain to an input light from outside and a selective loss part for giving a light loss of a prescribed ratio for different polarization modes in order to compensate for a polarization dependency of the amplification factor between the input and output lights. Thus, the difference of amplification factors for the different polarization modes is compensated for, as a whole of the apparatus. This polarization non-dependent type optical amplifying apparatus has solved the polarization dependency without degrading other characteristics, so that this can be preferably used in a optical communication system or network. Further, this amplifying apparatus does not require so many external optical components, so this is suitable to the fabrication of a module and is preferably contained in an integrated optical node.
