摘要： A predictive coding/decoding system for block-formed picture signals includes predictive coding and decoding units in transmitter and receiver sides, respectively: each of the predictive coding and decoding units is provided with a control pulse generator responsive to a horizontal synchronization pulse in the picture signal to produce a sampling signal and a select signal, and a pair of selectors together responsive to the select signal to select a sum of a prediction signal and a prediction error signal or a fixed value as an input of a prediction circuit, the pair of selectors selecting the fixed value for a partial picture block including a fraction of pixels due to the block formation.

摘要： In a predictive encoder for use particularly in a conference television system, a signal processing unit is used in producing a prediction signal and comprises three prediction circuits (22, 23, 31) and a selection circuit (24) coupled to the prediction circuits. The prediction circuits are for producing an inframe, an interframe, and a background prediction signals, respectively. Those signals are produced by processing an original signal at instants which precede a current instant and are different from one another. The selection circuit is for selecting one of the inframe, the interframe, and the background prediction signals. Therefore, it is possible to produce the prediction signal suitably predictive of the original signal. The signal processing circuit serves equally well in a predictive decoder.

摘要： A basic cell type full search vector quantization coder has a plurality of basic cells and a minimum distortion output vector detector. In each basic cell a common K-dimensional input vector is divided by b into b sub-blocks and n output vectors are read one by one out of a set of N output vectors. The output vectors are also divided by b. Comparison is made K/b times between the components of the input and the output vectors to detect one of n output vectors positioned at the shortest distance from the input vector. The detctor compares the outputs supplied by the basic cells and detects one of the output vectors producing the minimum distortion, whose index signal being an output of the coder.

摘要： An oven-controlled oscillator includes a thermostatic oven having a heat source, a vibrator provided in the thermostatic oven, an oscillation circuit for generating an oscillation signal in response to an action of the vibrator, and a heat source control circuit. The heat source control circuit includes a sensor for detecting an internal temperature of the thermostatic oven, an operational amplifier for controlling current to flow through the heat source in response to a resistance value of the sensor so that the internal temperature of the thermostatic oven may be maintained at a predetermined preset temperature, and a feedback resistor for the operational amplifier. The feedback resistor includes a thermistor whose resistance value drops as the temperature rises, and the thermistor is thermally coupled to the thermostatic oven. Preferably, a quartz-crystal element is used as the vibrator.
