    • A vibration damping actuator including: a cup-shaped housing; an output member disposed spaced apart from an opening end of the housing; a guide rod disposed on the output member and positioned inserted into a guide hole; a coil member provided to one of the housing and the output member; an armature disposed on an other of the housing and the output member, the armature being adapted to exert actuating force on the output member; an annular fixing member arranged about the output member; a support rubber plate disposed between the annular fixing member and the output member; and a positioning projection formed at an inside peripheral edge of the fixing member by projecting the inside peripheral edge of the fixing member in cylindrical configuration in an axial direction towards an inside of the housing. The positioning projection is disposed at a location situated inward by a predetermined distance from the opening of the housing for positioning the fixing member relative to the housing.

    • A fluid-filled active vibration damping device comprising an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second mounting member and partially defining a fluid chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid, an oscillating member partially defining the fluid chamber and being reciprocatory movable in order to control a pressure of the fluid in the fluid chamber. The above vibration damping device further includes an independently formed electromagnetic actuator for applying driving force to oscillate the oscillating member and having an oscillating sleeve member fixedly connected to the oscillating member, and a retainer adapted to support the electromagnetic actuator with respect to the second mounting member such that the retainer fixed to the second mounting member while housing the electromagnetic actuator, while a yoke member of the electromagnetic actuator is fixed to a bottom wall portion of the retainer so as to extend through the bottom wall portion. A method of producing the fluid-filled active vibration-damping device is also disclosed.

    • An electromagnetic pump includes a cylinder with a stepped inner diameter with first and second inner diameters. A piston inside the cylinder, with a stepped outer diameter including first and second outer diameters slidable on the respective inner diameters, defines first and second fluid chambers. Reciprocal movement of the piston produces a greater change in volume in the first chamber than the second chamber. An electromagnetic portion moves the piston to decrease the volume of the first chamber and increase the volume of the second chamber. A biasing member moves the piston to increase the volume of the first chamber and decrease the volume of the second chamber. A first valve allows fluid to flow to the first chamber and prohibits reverse flow. A second valve embedded in the piston allows fluid to flow from the first chamber to the second chamber and prohibits reverse flow.
