    • A vibration-damping device including: an elastic body connecting a first and a second mounting member: a pressure receiving and equilibrium chambers partially defined by the elastic body and a flexible diaphragm, filled with a non-compressible fluid and held in fluid communication through a first orifice passage and a second orifice passage that is tuned higher than the first orifice passage. A shut-off valve mechanism operable to selectively allow and inhibit fluid flows through the second orifice passage, an elastic oscillation plate partially defining the pressure-receiving chamber so that a fluid pressure in the pressure-receiving chamber acts on one surface of the elastic oscillation plate, and a working air chamber partially defined by the other surface of the elastic oscillation plate and oscillated by a periodic air pressure change in the working air chamber, are also incorporated. A method of controlling the same is also disclosed.

    • A liquid-filled vibration-proof device constructed so that the positioning and supporting function of a partition is performed firmly and a port opening of an orifice passage in the partition is not obstructed to ensure a sufficient opening area of the port opening. To that end, a diaphragm and a partition located inwardly thereof are hermetically fixed to a cylindrical fitting at a side opposing a vibration-isolating base thereby partitioning an enclosure between the vibration-isolating base and the diaphragm into two liquid chambers, the both liquid chambers being put in communication with each other through the orifice passage; the vibration-isolating base is provided at a marginal part of its inner face with protruding portions for positioning, with which an upper marginal portion of the partition is in opposed contact, disposed circumferentially at intervals at plural positions so as not to impede the flow of the port opening.

    • Disclosed is a fluid-filled active vibration damping device including: an elastic body; a primary fluid chamber partially defined by the elastic body; a movable member partially defining the primary fluid chamber on one side and a working air chamber on the other side; and a vacuum pump including an air intake port and an exhaust port, which are connectable to the working chamber via a valve mechanism. A fluid pressure variation in the primary fluid chamber can be actively controlled by transmitting an air pressure variation in the working air chamber to the primary fluid chamber via the movable member. A switching operation of the valve mechanism selectively applies a negative pressure generated in the air intake port and a positive pressure generated in the exhaust port to the working air chamber in order to generate the air pressure variation in the working air chamber.

    • A double orifice type liquid-in vibration isolating device including a partition portion fitted between a vibration isolating substrate combined through a body fitting and a first diaphragm made up of a partition main member forming a first orifice, a partition plate member forming a second sub-liquid chamber and a second orifice, and a partition support plate forming the first orifice. An inlet/outlet on the main liquid chamber side of both orifices is common to both orifices. The first orifice is diverged from a part of the second orifice having a liquid passing resistance smaller than that of the first orifice to provide two orifices compactly. Any variation or change of the property can easily be coped with by circumferential position adjustment of the component members of the partition portion.

    • In a hydraulic antivibration device for use in supporting a vibratory body like an automobile engine, the invention enables it to enhance the dimensional precision of an orifice for shake vibration, to decrease the dispersion in characteristics, and to reduce the dynamic spring rate in a high frequency region thereby reducing noise such as muffled sound. Its expedient is in that a main liquid chamber (6) and a first subsidiary liquid chamber (7) are mutually brought into communication through a first orifice (8), a partition element (10) comprises a partition plate member (11) including an elastic membrane (12) and an orifice member (13), the first orifice (8) is formed by outer circumferences of the orifice member and partition plate member and a cylindrical rubber portion (4a) linking to a diaphragm, a space enclosed by a central plate section (13a) of the orifice member and the elastic membrane (12) is formed as a second subsidiary liquid chamber (15), and an opening as a second orifice (16) for muffled sound communicating from the first (7) to the second liquid chamber (15) is formed in the central plate section (13a).
