摘要： Self-dispersing curable epoxy resin ester dispersions prepared by a process comprising reacting a self-dispersing curable epoxy resin based on a polyoxyalkyleneamine with a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of drying oil and semi-drying oil fatty acids, are provided. The self-dispersing curable epoxy resin is based on a polyoxyalkyleneamine. Thus, a polyoxyalkyleneamine was present as a chemical precursor of the epoxy resin or a starting material therefor. The self-dispersing curable epoxy resin ester of the invention is in the form of an aqueous dispersion. When dried, films of the self-dispersing curable epoxy resin ester dispersion are useful as a coating composition.

摘要： A method for formulating an aqueous dispersion of a polymer includes dissolving a polymer such as an acrylic polyol in a solvent to form a polymer solution. A surfactant is added to the polymer solution, and water is then added with mixing sufficient to dispersed the polymer in the water. The resulting aqueous dispersion can be mixed with a water dispersible polyisocyanate to produce coating materials which can be cured to form tough films and coatings.

摘要： An aqueous dispersion containing a polyamide and non-polyamide polymer is prepared by dissolving the polyamide in an organic solvent with a surfactant to form a polyamide solution. Water is then added to the polyamide solution to form an aqueous dispersion. The non-polyamide polymer can be added before or after the addition of water. The polyamide/non-polyamide dispersion can be used to produce an ink with better adhesion to plastic substrates and reduced blocking problems.

The resulting dispersion is useful in preparing a coating of the polyamide, which coating is useful as an adhesive.

The resulting dispersion is useful in preparing a coating of the polyamide, which coating is useful as an adhesive.

摘要： A method of preparing a self-dispersing epoxy resin composition is provided. The method comprises reacting a polyepoxide with a polyoxyalkylene polyol wherein the equivalent ratio of epoxide groups of said polyepoxide to hydroxyl groups of said polyoxyalkylene polyol is greater than 10:1, to form an polyol-epoxy adduct and reacting said polyol-epoxy adduct with a polyepoxide and a polyhydric alcohol to form a self-dispersing epoxy resin. Also provided are aqueous dispersions of the self-dispersing epoxy resin and coating compositions comprising the same. The coating compositions are particularly useful as industrial maintenance coatings.
