    • A filter device, particularly for filtering melt-type fluids, such as polymer melts, includes at least one filter disk having two filter disk halves connected to each other by their edges and provided with filter material on their exterior surfaces. The filter disk halves are held apart by a supporting device delimiting a substantially free hollow area between them, through which a fluid can flow freely. Inwardly, they delimit an outflow opening for the melt-type filtered fluid. The supporting device has individual supporting cams of substantially equal outer dimensions and arranged in several groups. Separated from each other, the supporting cams extend radially outwardly form the outflow opening, are rigidly connected to at least one of the two halves, and traverse the hollow area in such a way as to rest against the other filter disk half. This results in a filter device which is economical to produce and which has enhanced filter performance when in operation. It is suited particularly to filtering melt-type liquids, such as polymer melts, under high pressure.

    • A gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint system, comprises a gas bag having a folded part, a gas generator for generating compressed air, a pressure chamber housing, in which the gas generator is arranged, which surrounds the gas generator and in which the generated compressed gas spreads, and an ejection channel in which the folded part of the gas bag is arranged and which predefines an unfolding direction upon inflation of the gas bag. The ejection channel is constructed as a box-shaped separate part with a flange. The pressure chamber housing has a counter flange. The ejection channel is attached to the housing by attaching the flange to the counter flange. The gas bag is clamped immediately between the flange and the counter flange. Further the invention relates to a method for assembling parts of an air bag module to each other for shipping purposes and for installation into a vehicle.

    • A gas bag for a vehicular occupant restraint system comprises two plies of fabric partially interwoven along their outer edges. To offer protection over a lengthy period in time amounting to several seconds but nevertheless dissipate the energy of impact to the required degree on impact and cushioning of the occupant, the plies of fabric are substantially air-tight, and the volume of the gas bag is divided by partial interweaving of the plies of fabric within the outer edges into several chambers. Further, the chambers are interconnected by at least one choked port remaining between the portions of the interwoven plies of fabric. Only part of the chambers is directly inflated by an inflator, the remaining part of the chambers being indirectly inflated via the choked port.
