    • The present invention relates to a spot-type disc brake with a brake housing straddling a brake disc, with at least one brake pad that is arranged in the brake housing so as to be slidable in the actuating direction and cooperates tribologically with the brake disc upon brake application, with at least one actuating device arranged in the brake housing to apply an actuating force to the brake pad, and with a spring assembly for the active adjustment of a clearance between the brake pad and the brake disc after brake application. To simplify the configuration of the spring assembly, the spring assembly comprises exactly one spring which is secured detachably in the spot-type disc brake and is supported on the brake pad and on the brake housing. A spring of this type is arranged advantageously symmetrically within the brake housing to prevent an undesirable inclined positioning of the brake pads.

    • Multiple forces act upon a steering spindle. Further, the mounting support of the steering spindle and the steering spindle itself are affected by tolerances, as a result of which the steering spindle with its longitudinal axis is moved radially relative to the vehicle chassis. Control devices for controlling the vehicle dynamics require steering angle sensors which have to indicate the current steering angle and variations thereof with great precision. If the steering angle is invariably fixed with respect to the chassis frame, the measurement frequently becomes inaccurate due to the radial movement of the spindle axis. As a remedy, the present invention arranges for the steering angle sensor to be positioned in the area of a spindle bearing. Favorable improvements relate to linking the sensor housing to the housing of the spindle bearing.

    • A brake system with anti-locking and/or traction slip control is disclosed including a brake pressure generator, an auxiliary pressure supply system having one or more bypass-regulated hydraulic pumps, and electrically controllable multi-way valves in the brake conduits. An auxiliary pressure supply system is connected either directly or through multi-way valves to the wheel brakes and, through separating valves, to the brake pressure generator. Inserted in bypass conduits which are connected in parallel to the hydraulic pumps, are additional multi-way valves which are normally closed in the rest position but which are reswitchable to an open position and by way of which the pressure in the auxiliary pressure supply system is controllable to modulate the brake pressure in the wheel brakes.
