    • An apparatus and a method are disclosed for controlling operation of a compressor capable of greatly decreasing a stroke estimation error of a compressor and controlling operation of the compressor accurately and precisely. The method includes calculating a first stroke estimation value of a compressor on the basis of current, a voltage applied to a motor of a compressor and preset parameters of the motor. Detecting a counter electromotive force of the motor and calculating a second stroke estimation value of the compressor on the basis of the detected counter electromotive force value. Determining a new stroke reference value by comparing the first stroke estimation value with the second stroke estimation value, adding or subtracting a stroke compensation value corresponding to the comparison result to or from a preset stroke reference value, and controlling a stroke of the compressor by varying a voltage applied to the motor on the basis of the determined stroke reference value and the first stroke estimation value.

A frame unit is installed in the case and a compression unit, including a cylinder is installed in the frame unit.     • Disclosed is a reciprocating motor including a multi type outer core having a plurality of single cores constructed with consecutively-stacked lamination sheets centering around a plurality of ring-shaped winding coils so as form a cylindrical structure and an insulating member placed between a plurality of the single cores, an inner core inserted in the multi type outer core so as to leave a predetermined gap with an inside circumferential face of the multi type outer core, and a moving part having a plurality of magnet rows confronting the winding coils of the multi type outer core respectively so as to reciprocate in accordance with a variation of currents flowing through the winding coils. The present invention generates simple fluxes formed in the flux paths and prevents the fluxes from being cancelled each other, thereby enabling to increase an efficiency of a motor by decreasing the magnetic saturation as well as provide a simple design of the motor. Moreover, the present invention enables to reduce the amount of magnets required for the motor, thereby saving a manufacturing cost.
