    • A molten metal pumping device is disclosed that comprises a pump base including at least one input port, a pump chamber, and a discharge leading to an output port. A rotor is retained within the chamber and is connected to a rotor shaft. The device further includes a superstructure attached to and positioned above the pump housing, a motor on the superstructure, a drive shaft connected to the motor and a coupling connecting the drive shaft to the rotor shaft. The rotor extends beyond the input port to deflect solid particles thereby reducing jams and preferably is a dual-flow rotor, directing molten metal both into the chamber and out through the discharge. The coupling is flexible and has two coupling members with a flexible disc disposed therebetween. Another aspect of the invention is a housing for a transfer pump that includes a discharge leading to an output port and a button adaptor extending from the discharge. The button is dimensioned so that it can connect to a metal transfer conduit without the use of cement thereby reducing maintenance costs and downtime. Further, the vertical members such as the support posts, metal transfer conduit and rotor shaft, may be sectional so that anti-corrosive materials may be used for the sections positioned in the most corrosive areas of the molten metal furnace. Additionally, a stationary component of the device may be configured to retain a thermocouple.

    • A heat dissipation fan as disclosed includes a heat dissipation fan blade, a self-lubricating bearing, a stator having an electrical circuit plate and a casing. The heat dissipation fan blade includes a shaft extending therefrom. The shaft has a rounded free end that and contains a neck to seat a locking plate therein. The casing has a collar extending therefrom to hold the stator in place. The collar contains a recess to securely receive the self-lubricating bearing and forms an internal shoulder to restrain and support the locking plate and the self-lubricating bearing. The locking plate is round and contains a through hole therein. The through hole has a diameter corresponding to that of the neck in the shaft. The locking plate has multiple slits formed on the periphery of the through hole. A washer is placed in the bottom of the recess and contains a hole with a diameter smaller than the shaft to abut the free end of the shaft.

    • A pipe member is pushed into an inner periphery of a core of an armature to fix the pipe member to the armature. The pipe member is inserted over a fixed shaft. Bearing members have a small hole and a large hole formed at their centers. Pipe member ends are pushed into and fixed to the large diameter holes. The fixed shaft is inserted into the small holes to rotatably support the armature. A guide hole is formed at the center of an impeller of a pump unit, and is fitted to the bearing member, thereby the impeller rotates while the impeller is guided by the outer peripheral surface of the bearing member which rotates integrally with the armature. Coupling protrusions formed on the armature are inserted, and engaged with engagement recesses formed in the impeller to transmit a rotation force of the armature to the impeller.

    • A scroll compressor has a shell within which is positioned a frame. The frame is supported by a base portion of the shell to prevent axial movement of the frame with respect to the shell. A motor stator, a main bearing housing and a lower bearing housing are each positioned within the shell by engagement with the frame. A drive member which includes a motor rotor is rotatably supported by both the main bearing housing and the lower bearing housing. The frame, by positioning the motor stator, the main bearing housing and the lower bearing housing, allows the “air gap” between the motor stator and the motor rotor to be accurately controlled.
