摘要： The present invention provides devices for removing an embolus or thrombus. The device includes an elongate member configured for insertion into the vasculature, an expandable member that extends from the distal end of the elongate member, and a flow restrictor associated with a proximal portion of the expandable member. The expandable member is configured to transition from a compacted state to an expanded state, in which the expandable portion engages with the embolus. The flow restrictor is configured to restrict blood flow and generate a low pressure zone at a location in the vasculature that is distal to the flow restrictor.

摘要： An access tube has a central passage and at least one lumen extending axially between the central passage and an outside wall of the access tube. The lumen carries therein a piercing member for accessing an anatomic space, such as a pericardial space between the parietal pericardia and the visceral pericardia. While the access tube is positioned against the parietal pericardium, a distal end of the piercing member engages and penetrates the parietal pericardium. The distal end of the piercing member entering the anatomic space can then allow the piercing member to advance and form into a supporting structure to create a working space. After the working space is created, an access device can be introduced through the access tube into the pericardial space to perform a variety of procedures inside a patient.

摘要： A stent for reducing the passage of emboli into body lumen once deployed includes a structural portion and a barrier portion. The structural portion, when expanded in a conduit, provides sufficient strength to maintain an open lumen in the conduit. The barrier portion reduces migration of emboli from the wall of the conduit through the structural portion and into the lumen. Stent delivery systems capable of delivering and deploying the stent are disclosed.

The frame has a tenting element. The treatment device is delivered to the aortic position in a patient's aortic valve, and the frame is expanded at the location of the native aortic valve, with the tenting element pushing the aortic curtain and/or anterior leaflet and/or mitral annulus of the mitral valve towards the mitral valve direction. The leaflet assembly replaces the valve function of the patient's native aortic valve.

摘要： A vascular remodeling device is provided that can comprise a proximal section, an intermediate section, and a distal section. During deployment, the proximal section can expand from a compressed delivery state to an expanded state and anchor the device in the afferent vessel of a bifurcation. The distal section can comprise at least one embolization coil that can be positioned within an aneurysm to treat the aneurysm and expand from the compressed delivery state to an expanded state upon deployment. The intermediate section can allow perfusion to efferent vessels. Before, during, and/or after the device is positioned, additional embolic material can be used to treat the aneurysm.

The flared segment can be balloon dilated to enhance conformance of the flared stented segment to the ostial and aortic regions. A stent delivery system capable of delivering and deploying the substantially cylindrical segment and the flared segment is also disclosed.

In one particular application, the medical device can be used for minimally invasive access and closure of a left atrial appendage of the heart. The medical device generally includes a tool used for grasping the appendage, a closure member, and at least one tool to deploy, control, and position the closure member for closing the appendage. The device can also include an expander tool for expanding the working area around the left atrial appendage to improve visibility during the procedure. In other embodiments, the medical device may include other tools, for example an imaging tool for viewing the target area and/or other tools that are considered useful in a left atrial appendage closure procedure.
