摘要： Water-dispersible polymers of an acid salt of 2-aminoalkyl esters of monounsaturated monocarboxylic acid and at least one comonomer are prepared by dissolving the salt of that ester in a coupling solvent, mixing the comonomers as a separate feedstock and bringing the monomers together in a polymerization zone at a controlled rate so that the monomers remain in solution and polymerizing to substantial completion.

摘要： High solids containing thermoset resins are made by admixing the adduct of an alkylene oxide and a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate with one or more polymerizable vinyl monomers. A more preferred method is to blend a co-reactive flexibilizing homopolymer or copolymer of the adduct with a rigid vinyl polymer or copolymer to form a thermosettable mixture of polymers. The adduct or polymer-containing adduct is present in amount of from about 5 to about 95% by weight of the monomer or polymer mixture.

摘要： The invention is a process for obtaining pure BAEE from the crude reaction mixture of H.sub.2 SO.sub.4 and monoethanolamine. It consists of five major operations, which are:1. Separation of 2-aminoethyl hydrogen sulfate (AEHS) from BAEE.2H.sub.2 SO.sub.4 by mixing the molten crude product with crushed ice and filtering out the resulting AEHS which precipitates;2. precisely neutralizing the acidity in the filtrate with alkali or alkaline earth hydroxides, NaOH to form Na.sub.2 SO.sub.4 and free BAEE;3. extracting the BAEE and small amounts of other amines from this neutralized solution with an alcohol solvent having limited solubility in water, such as n-butanol;4. concentrating the amine extract by precipitating the amines in a separate, liquid layer by saturating the extract with carbon dioxide gas; and5. obtaining pure BAEE from this concentrate by distillation (at atmospheric pressure through an efficient distillation column).
