摘要： A container for storing a tape cassette of the type having a pair of spaced tape reel hubs. Each hub has a cylindrical sidewall which defines a recess in the hub. The storage container includes enclosure means for receiving and enclosing a cassette in the container. Diametrically opposed pairs of fingers are molded integrally with a bottom wall of the container and project into the hub recess through an aligned access opening formed in a bottom wall of the tape cassette upon placing the cassette into the container. The fingers are formed with a convex outer camming surface and are connected to the container by a straight leg portion. The convex outer edges of the fingers are engaged by the hub sidewalls and flex inwardly upon initial placement of the cassette into the storage container. A rigid stop member is mounted adjacent to and inwardly of each of the flexible fingers to limit the inward movement of the fingers toward the flexed position to control the flex thereof and to prevent breakage of the fingers. The stop members are connected by intervening reinforcing ribs to form a rigid stop assembly.

摘要： A reusable molded plastic package for securely holding and displaying cassettes and in particular audio cassettes. A housing forms a storage compartment and has two pairs of spaced ramps adjacent a front end opening which permits a cassette to be forced past the ramps and into the storage compartment, yet prevent removal of the cassette back out of the compartment through the front end opening. A lock retaining plate is movably mounted on the housing and is movable between a lock position where it covers another opening formed in the top wall of the housing and an unlocked position which enables the cassette to be removed from the storage compartment when sold at a retail store. After sale, the retaining plate can be moved to the locked position enabling the package to be reused with another cassette being loaded into the package by automatic loading equipment through the front end opening. In a modified embodiment an expansion zone is provided in the bottom wall adjacent the front end opening to facilitate the movement of the cassette past the ramps and into the storage compartment by permitting limited outward movement of the ramps.

摘要： A rack for storing and displaying a plurality of recorded media, such as compact discs, in a vertical array. The rack has upper and lower sections, each of which has a plurality of vertical spaced compartments for slidably receiving the recorded media therein. The lower section is mounted on and extends upwardly from the base. Latching detents are formed on the top of the lower section and provide a snap-fit engagement with the bottom of the upper section to join the sections in a vertical stacked relationship. The upper and lower sections are substantially equal in length and can be placed in a disassembled knockdown condition juxtaposed to each other for storage and shipment to reduce the size of the storage box.

摘要： A container for storing and displaying recorded media, such as compact discs, video cassettes, audio cassettes, etc., has a support surface, preferably rotatably mounted. A plurality of spaced ribs are formed on the support surface and extend upwardly therefrom, forming individual storage slots for receiving storage boxes containing the recorded media. A small area of serrated teeth is formed on the support surface adjacent a front end opening of each of the slots. The serrated teeth engage a side of the storage box and retard the outward sliding movement of the box as the container is rotated for review of the various recorded media stored therein.
