The base and lid include elements that cooperate with a locking to allows the lid to be locked in the closed position. In one embodiment, the lock is received in the concave opening disposed at the front of the storage container. The lock may be unlocked with a special key or may be unlocked by destroying portions of the lock that are designed to be destroyed. In another embodiment of the invention, a sliding lock is carried by the container. The sliding lock may be carried inside the container or on the front wall of the container.

摘要： A bottle security device includes an inner member and an outer member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The inner member further includes outwardly extending teeth. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle. The outer sleeve member further includes a plurality of upwardly extending arms that have inwardly projecting teeth that engage the teeth of the inner member to lock the two members together. A key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key extends down through the top of the outer sleeve member to physically engage the upwardly extending arms and to move them radially outward to where they disengage the inner member.

摘要： A security device which includes a locking member, a ratchet member, and a plurality of cables. The cables extend through both a fastener and a base of the locking member and are wrapped around all six sides of a book or box-like structure. The fastener is releasably snap-fitted into the base and secured therein by a pair of metal tines. The ratchet member includes a housing containing a gear and bearing member which are latched together in a spaced relationship to form a reel and a pawl. A bottom plate encloses the contents of the housing. The gear includes a multi-sided key hole, a plurality of openings to secure enlarged ends of the cables therein, and a plurality of teeth. The gear and bearing member each include an annular nub which sits in and rotates around a corresponding bearing surface of the bottom plate and housing, respectively. The pawl has a catch and a resilient spring and communicates with the gear to allow the ratchet member to be turned only in one direction. Two specialized tools are required to tighten the device around the box-like structure and to remove the security device from the same.

摘要： A container for removably storing an article such as a video game, and for securing sheet material to the container, such as the instruction booklet for the video game, to prevent separation of the booklet from the container. The container has a base and a pivotally mounted lid which forms an internal storage compartment with the base. A hinge assembly having an elongated panel and pair of hinge strips pivotally mount the lid on the base. A holder bar is secured to the hinge panel. A pair of flexible straps are provided at the ends of the holder bar and form a pair of loops which extend into the storage compartment of the container when the lid is closed on the base. Other ends of the straps extend through holes formed in the booklet to mount the booklet on the straps, after which the ends are snap-fitted through locking holes formed in the holder bar to permanently secure the booklet on the loops within the container.
