    • The present invention provides a method for supporting a nonmetallocene olefin polymerization catalyst, comprising the following steps: a carrier reacts with a chemical activator to obtain a modified carrier; a magnesium compound is dissolved in a tetrahydrofuran-alcohol mixed solvent to form a solution, then the modified carrier is added to the solution to perform a reaction, then filtered and washed, dried and suction dried to prepare a composite carrier; a nonmetallocene olefin polymerization catalyst is dissolved in a solvent, and then reacts with said composite carrier, then is washed and filtered, dried and suction dried, to prepare a supported nonmetallocene olefin polymerization catalyst. The present invention further relates to a supported nonmetallocene olefin polymerization catalyst as prepared by this method. The present invention further relates to the use of the supported nonmetallocene olefin polymerization catalyst in an olefin polymerization and an olefin copolymerization between two or more different olefins. In one specific embodiment, the present invention relates to the use of the supported nonmetallocene olefin polymerization catalyst in a slurry ethylene polymerization. The present invention provides a new type of catalyst that improves the polymer morphology, increases polymer bulk density and enhances polymerization activity.

    • This disclosure provides an ink jettable fixer ink including a water soluble or water dispersible amphoteric polymer, wherein the amphoteric polymer contains both a cationic charge and an anionic charge within the same molecule, wherein the mole ratio of cationic charge to anionic charge is greater than 1; wherein the ink jettable fixer ink does not contain a colorant; and wherein the amphoteric polymer forms a water insoluble solid precipitate when mixing with an anionic charged ink jet ink. These fixer inks when used with aqueous colorant containing ink jet inks give improved optical density and chroma.

    • Cold-seal adhesives are disclosed that contain no natural rubber and are capable of forming dry coatings on flexible films which adhere to one another with commercially acceptable packaging strength at room temperature by pressure contact, but also allow such layered substrata to be reeled into rolls and stored for extended periods of time without blocking. The flexible films are usable in forming packages, particularly for comestibles and pharmaceuticals, without need for heat sealing. Such cold-seal adhesives are aqueous dispersions containing 30 to 55 percent of a polyurethane ionomer reaction product, having a T.sub.g of between about -50 to 10.degree. C., of a mixture of (a) a blend of between 0 and 40 percent polyester polyol and between 60 and 100 percent polyether polyol, (b) aliphatic diisocyanate and (c) dimethylol propionic acid and preferably containing 0.05 to 4 percent of grafted amorphous silica.
