摘要： This disclosure provides an ink jettable fixer ink including a water soluble or water dispersible amphoteric polymer, wherein the amphoteric polymer contains both a cationic charge and an anionic charge within the same molecule, wherein the mole ratio of cationic charge to anionic charge is greater than 1; wherein the ink jettable fixer ink does not contain a colorant; and wherein the amphoteric polymer forms a water insoluble solid precipitate when mixing with an anionic charged ink jet ink. These fixer inks when used with aqueous colorant containing ink jet inks give improved optical density and chroma.

摘要： Cold-seal adhesives are disclosed that contain no natural rubber and are capable of forming dry coatings on flexible films which adhere to one another with commercially acceptable packaging strength at room temperature by pressure contact, but also allow such layered substrata to be reeled into rolls and stored for extended periods of time without blocking. The flexible films are usable in forming packages, particularly for comestibles and pharmaceuticals, without need for heat sealing. Such cold-seal adhesives are aqueous dispersions containing 30 to 55 percent of a polyurethane ionomer reaction product, having a T.sub.g of between about -50 to 10.degree. C., of a mixture of (a) a blend of between 0 and 40 percent polyester polyol and between 60 and 100 percent polyether polyol, (b) aliphatic diisocyanate and (c) dimethylol propionic acid and preferably containing 0.05 to 4 percent of grafted amorphous silica.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a process for preparation of an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene catalyst, comprising: (1) under inert atmosphere, dispersing a magnesium halide in an inert solvent; (2) adding an alcohol to react with the magnesium halide, to form a solution or dispersion of a magnesium halide-alcohol adduct; (3) adding an alkyl aluminum halide to react with the magnesium halide-alcohol adduct, to form an intermediate product; (4) optionally, subjecting the intermediate product to an ultrasonic wave treatment; (5) adding a titanium compound to perform Ti-supporting reaction; (6) optionally, subjecting the reaction mixture from step (5) to an ultrasonic wave treatment; and (7) recovering solid particles, to obtain the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene catalyst, wherein at least one of steps (4) and (6) is present.

摘要： The present disclosure provides method of ink jet printing onto a substrate comprising, in any workable order, the steps of: (a) providing an ink jet printer that is responsive to digital data signals; (b) loading the printer with a substrate to be printed; (c) loading the printer with an aqueous ink jet ink comprising an ink vehicle and an aqueous dispersion, wherein the aqueous dispersion comprises a solid particle and a polymeric dispersant that has been crosslinked, wherein the polymeric dispersant is a block copolymer comprising an A block and a B block, wherein the A block is a segment having a block size of about 5 to about 18 units, and comprises at least 50% by weight of a monomer, having the following structure: CH2═CRC(O)O(CHR1CH2O)nR2; wherein R and R1 are H, or methyl; R2 is alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms or phenyl; and n is about 1 about 20; and the B block is a segment comprising an ionic monomer and at least one hydrophobic monomer; and wherein the dispersant comprises a crosslinkable moiety; wherein the crosslinkable moiety is crosslinked with a crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of epoxide, carbodiimide, oxazoline, isocyanate, and silane; and wherein the aqueous dispersion has a pH of at least about 8.0; and (d) printing onto the substrate using the aqueous ink jet ink, in response to the digital data signals to form a printed image on the substrate. This method of printing provides images with the requisite optical density and chroma needed for emerging ink jet applications.
