    • An indication device in a single lens camera of through-the-lens automatic exposure control type. The device comprises an aperture control device for controlling an aperture value by utilizing an object brightness (B), a film sensitivity (S) and a manual shutter speed (T). Also, a shutter control device is employed in which stopped-down metering is carried out by using an aperture value (A) controlled by the aperture control device. An actual aperture value controlled by the aperture value (A) and a shutter speed are automatically set according to the object brightness and film sensitivity to have a suitable exposure value according to the following equation:A.sub.V =S.sub.V +B.sub.V -T.sub.Vwhere: A.sub.V is the APEX indication value of the aperture value, S.sub.V is the film sensitivity, B.sub.V is the object brightness, and T.sub.V is the manual shutter speed. When the aperture value controlled is at the full-aperture value (A.sub.O) of a photographing lens, light metering is effectuated with the full-aperture value (A.sub.O). When the resulting shutter speed (T) controlled by the shutter control device according to the object brightness and film sensitivity is at a camera shake limit speed (T.sub.O), a camera shake limit indication is carried out under the following condition:S.sub.V +B.sub.V

    • An automatic focusing device for a video camera in which undesirable defocusing caused by the presence of an unwanted object moving through the field of view between the photographing lens and the desired object is eliminated. The output of automatic focusing sensor, which may be a line sensor or area sensor, is alternately stored in two memories. The contents of the two memories are compared and discriminated to determine when an unwanted object has moved into the photographing field. This is effected by detecting the presence of a change beginning at one end of the sensor. When such is detected, the automatic focusing operation is inhibited for a predetermined period of time.

    • A video camera operating device which permits the photographing lens of the camera to be controlled either in an automatic mode or a manual mode from a remote operating device. Both the remote operating device and a close operating device on the video camera body include an automatic focusing/manual focusing changeover switch. When the remote operating device is connected to the video camera via a cable, the automatic focusing/manual focusing changeover switch of the remote operating device takes precedence over that of the close operating device. The remote operating device also includes controls for selecting short or long distance movement of the lens and for controlling the speed at which the lens is moved.

    • A time determination circuit for an automatic or manual exposure camera in which a single capacitor is utilized for both a power maintaining time determination circuit and a shutter controlling time determination circuit to thereby significantly reduce the space required for the electronics in the camera and thereby reducing the cost. The single capacitor is charged either through a constant current source controlled by an electromagnet switch which is in turn operated in response to raising of the camera mirror or through a transistor operated in response to a shutter time calculation circuit. A terminal voltage of the capacitor is compared with a fixed voltage and the comparison output is amplified to control an electromagnet.
