    • A pouring method and a device in a vacuum sealed process to produce a thin-wall cast by using a mold framing for the a vacuum sealed process, and a as-cast product using the pouring method are provided. The pouring method comprises the steps of: sealingly covering the surface of a pattern plate by a shielding member; placing a mold framing on the shielding member and then putting a fill that does not include any binder in the mold framing; sealingly covering an upper surface of the fill and then evacuating an inside of the mold framing to suck the shielding member to the fill to shape the shielding member; removing the pattern plate from the shielding member, thereby forming a mold half that has a molding surface; forming another mold half in a similar way and mating the mold halves to define a molding cavity; pouring molten metal in the molding cavity; and releasing the negative pressure in the mold framing to take out a as-cast product, and further comprises the step of decompressing the molding cavity before pouring molten metal in the mated mold.

    • An electromagnetic reciprocating pump having a piston electromagnetically moved at least in one direction is comprised of a frame having attached thereto an electromagnet which operates the piston, an inner cylinder whose one end side in the axial direction is secured to the frame and the other side thereof is closed and having the piston accommodated therein such that the piston can be reciprocated therein, an outer cylinder whose one end in the axial direction being secured to the frame and coaxially encircling the inner cylinder so as to form a working chamber between it and the inner cylinder, an outer piston accommodated within the working chamber so as to freely reciprocate and varying a capacity of working chamber, spring means being contracted and expanded in accordance with the movement of the outer piston, and magnetic coupling means for magnetically coupling the inner piston and the outer piston. The piston has a shape such that this piston does not form a pressure in the inner cylinder when reciprocated within the first cylinder. Further, the outer cylinder has a suction opening and a discharge opening, each having a valve, for sucking and discharging a special fluid, such as corrosive liquid, into and from the working chamber.

    • A writing-plotting apparatus comprising a keyboard including a mode selector for selecting a writing or plotting mode, a carriage carrying a pen movably toward and away from a sheet of paper, a first memory for storing character pattern data representative of characters, a second memory for storing graphic pattern data representative of patterns of graphs, and a control device which, in the writing mode, reads out from the first memory the character pattern data corresponding to the operated character keys, and in the plotting mode reads out from the second memory the graphic pattern data. The control device is responsive to the read-out character or graphic pattern data and controls the operations of drives for feeding the paper along one axis, reciprocating the carriage along another axis perpendicular to the one axis, and moving the pen for contact and release with respect to the paper. The apparatus may comprise a converter which receives drive signals corresponding to the read-out data and converts the signals based on a desired size of the characters or graphs selected by a size selector, so that the converted drive signals are applied to the paper, carriage and pen drives.
