    • The present invention provides an electrode structure for polymer electrolyte fuel cells, inexpensive, and exhibiting excellent power production capacity and durability even under high temperature/low humidity conditions, and also provides a polymer electrolyte fuel cell which incorporates the same electrode structure. The present invention also provides an electrical device and transportation device, each incorporating the same polymer electrolyte fuel cell. The electrode structure comprises a pair of electrode catalyst layers 1,1, each containing a catalyst supported by carbon particles, and polymer electrolyte membrane 2 placed between these electrode catalyst layers 1,1. The polymer electrolyte membrane 2 is of a sulfonated polyarylene composed of 0.5 to 100% by mol of the first repeating unit represented by the general formula (1) and 0 to 99.5% by mol of the second repeating unit represented by the general formula (2): (wherein, A is a divalent organic group; and a benzene ring includes its derivative), (wherein, —W— is a divalent electron attracting group; -T- is a divalent organic group; and R1 to R8 are a hydrogen atom or fluorine atom, an alkyl group, fluorine-substituted alkyl group, allyl group, aryl group or cyano group, and may be the same or different).

    • A biscuit cutter is provided for cutting an arcuate slot in the edge surface of a workpiece. The biscuit cutter is made of a base, a drive motor, a rotary cutter blade and an adjustable fence. The base is provided by the first planar surface having an elongated slot through which the rotary cutting blade is positionable when a plurality of extended positions corresponding to a selected one of a plurality of predetermined sized biscuits.     • A biscuit joiner for engaging a workpiece to form a slot sized to receive a carpentry biscuit is provided. The biscuit joiner has a base with a fence surface for engaging the workpiece. The fence surface has an elongated opening formed therein. A motor is fixed to the base, and has a drive shaft. A link has a first end pivotally mounted to the base, and a second end rotatably mounted to a rotary cutter blade. A drive mechanism connects the drive shaft to the rotary cutter blade. An actuator is operable to pivot the link relative to the base. Pivoting the link causes the rotary cutter blade to shift relative to the fence surface between a retracted position in which the rotary cutter blade is within the base, and an extended position in which the rotary cutter blade extends through the elongated opening in the fence surface to cut the workpiece. Alternatively, a slidable carriage is received on the base. The motor and rotary cutter blade are mounted to the carriage. The carriage is slidable relative to the base toward and away from the fence surface. The actuator is operable to slide the carriage to cause the rotary cutter blade to shift between the extended and retracted positions.
