    • A shaped article of an aromatic heterocyclic copolymer can be produced by (a) reacting (i) an aromatic diaminodithiol compound, hydrogen atoms of thiol groups of the aromatic diaminodithiol compound being substituted with substituted or unsubstituted alkyl groups, and (ii) an aromatic diamino compound separately with (iii) a dicarboxylic acid derivative in an organic solvent to produce two types of oligomers; (b) reacting the two oligomers in an organic solvent to produce a precopolymer; (c) heating the precopolymer to cause a thiazole ring closure reaction, thereby producing the aromatic heterocyclic copolymer; (d) finely comminuting the aromatic heterocyclic copolymer to obtain fine powder; and (e) molding the powder at an elevated temperature to form an article of a desired shape.

    • A printer driver adapting to a plurality of models of printers includes a function management unit that determines an available function based on function information including a constraint on a print setting, a print setting unit that generates a print setting screen based on a determination result from the function controlling unit, and a drawing unit that generates print data in response to a request to print drawing data. The function management unit determines whether a print setting value set for the drawing data conforms to the constraint, when the drawing unit responds to the request to print the drawing data. The drawing unit generates print data based on the determination result from the function management unit.

    • A connection device for a tire-building drum significantly improves work efficiency for connection and disconnection of a tire-building drum, with requirements for safety, cost, durability, occupied space, etc. sufficiently satisfied. The device connects a center shaft of a tire-building drum to a drive shaft on the building machine body side, where counter lock portions fitting into each other are provided on shaft ends of both shafts that are brought into contact with each other. One end portion of a tubular member is screwed to a head portion of the drive shaft, and cam rollers rotatable about center axes oriented in the radial direction are provided on an inner peripheral surface of the other end portion. At one end portion of the drum center shaft, there is provided a flange that is pressed by the cam rollers to the drive shaft side when the tubular member is displaced by tightening. Cutout portions are provided in the flange, for preventing the tubular body from interfering the cam rollers before the tightening displacement takes place.
