    • Provided is a cleaning web produced without use of a binder that is superior in smoothness, release efficiency and orientation, resistant to fluffing, having a high heat-resistance temperature, superior in low water-absorption and compatible with oils, and having particular cleaning characteristics.A cleaning web for cleaning the surface of articles to be cleaned, produced by impregnating a web for cleaning the surface of articles to be cleaned with an oil, wherein the web is a nonwoven fabric containing a melt-liquid-crystal-forming wholly aromatic polyester having a melt viscosity of 20 Pa·s or less at 310° C. as the principal component that is produced by melt-blown method and has an average fiber diameter of 3 μm or more and 15 μm or less, a thickness of 20 μm or more and 80 μm or less, an average basis weight of 9 g/m2 or more and 30 g/m2 or less, a density of 0.25 g/cm3 or more and 1.4 g/cm3 or less, a maximum tensile stress in the machine and crosswise directions of 1.0(N/1.5 cm) or more and 4.0(N/1.5 cm) or less, and an elongation in the machine and crosswise directions of approximately 3%.

    • A thermosensitive recording material of this invention has a support, on which a thermosensitive color developing layer mainly composed of a leuco dye and a color developer which is contacted with the leuco dye while heating to develop a color and a protective layer mainly composed of polyvinyl alcohol together with either aziridine compound or dimethylolurea are successively provided, the color developer being at least one of phthalic acid derivatives represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, X, Y and 1 are as defined in above. The thermosensitive recording material of this invention is excellent in sensitivity and density of the color development and has the high storage stability of the recorded images. Accordingly, the thermosensitive recording material of this invention is very useful.The selected inorganic filler may be incorporated in the thermosensitive color developing layer and/or the protective layer.
